Thomas and Friends: The Timeline (SUBJECT TO REGULAR UPDATES) · 8:24pm Jan 16th, 2023
Hello everybody!
I've received a few queries about my Thomas and Friends stories, asking me what bits are canon to what. In the interest of my writing not turning into a convoluted, confusing mess, here is a timeline of the setting so far.
CANON TO ALL TIMELINES
Where is all began a little over three years ago. The events of Retold Adventures take place in between 2014 and 2015. After this story ends, the timeline splits. The first of these timelines is the Magic Railway timeline.
THE MAGIC RAILWAY TIMELINE
These stories take place between 2015 and 2017, with the exception of Untold Story of Timothy, which takes place in 2045.
THE MAINLAND TIMELINE
This, and the other stories after it, take place with EqG versions of the G5 characters and a new collection of engines.
The first three stories take place in 2022.
The most recent stories as of writing this blogpost are these ones, which take place in early 2023.
This will really help solve the confusion for many people.

Looking back on it all, I find myself wondering how a story that started life as a celebration of two properties I happen to like ended up spawning so much lore.

Well, If I may say, given Thomas is a British-made franchise, who better to make a perfect adaptation of it than someone is who British? Moreover, your stories stand out more because you not only fixed the flawed episodes, and gave underrated characters more roles, but also paired the engines with MLP characters no one else would even think of using. Not to mention you even managed to include characters that came after season 3 of MLP. I’ve read many a Thomas/MLP fanfic where the human versions of the Equines work as a Train crew on Sodor, but never in the fashion, you did it.

Glad to hear from you again I was wondering when you were going to make a new story i didn’t know you were making g5 story’s and does the g5 stores take place around the same time the Sodor stories or does it take place decades after like the actual Mlp g4/5 timeline and are you going to make any more Sodor stories?
