Today is Twelth Night in the UK, the day when people traditionally go to apple orchards and engage in an old tradition called wassailing. This usually consists of singing, chanting, and banging on metal objects to wake the spirits of apple trees. One time people even started blasting shotguns in the air, which was quite alarming.
