Bradel Broadcasting – "Fifty Sheaves of Paper" · 6:46pm Apr 6th, 2013

Welcome back, fillies and gentlecolts!

I've got a special treat for you today – a story I stumbled across (and I'm not telling you how) that's about as perversely weird as anything I've ever read. It's called "Fifty Sheaves of Paper", and it's by Amit, but before I give you the link, let me tell you a bit about this story.

Some Fun Widgets · 8:41am Mar 30th, 2013

Vimbert posted a short blog this evening about a widget that uses some research on differences in writing between male and female authors to try to determine an author's gender from a block of text. It's kind of fun to try out, though as the comments on Vimbert's blog reveal,

Bradel Brainstorming – On Cutie Marks · 5:13pm Mar 27th, 2013

Bookplayer, she of the wonderful blogs – and, eek, now that I check, whose stories I have yet to read – posted something yesterday evening on the topic of cutie marks and their significance to the world of My Little Pony. It was an interesting blog, and it sparked a very good discussion. It also led me to refine some of my own thinking on the matter, which

A Question – and also Fimacademics, or what you've been missing out on if you don't follow Bad Horse and PoweredByTea · 3:05am Mar 25th, 2013

One of the things I love about Fimfiction is that there's so much more here than just fanfic. When I first registered with the site, I looked at the blog feature somewhat askance, but at this point about half of the people I follow are on my watchlist because I like their blogs or comments and want to keep track of them and provide encouragement. That's not to say they aren't good writers, too – just that their stories aren't what got me following them initially.

Story Appearances and Updates · 11:57pm Mar 20th, 2013

I'm happy to report that Bell, Book & Candle got itself a little more exposure today, leaving my Equestria Daily batting average at 1.00 (with a paltry two at-bats). I'm expecting that to change very shortly.

"But Bradel, why would they reject one of your stories?" you ask. "Your writing is so good!"

"My writing is rubbish. Go read the people I'm following," I say. "But since you ask..."

Gah. Teach me to try typing a blog straight into Fimfiction. One accidental press of the backspace key, and I lose half an hour of work.

Bradel Broadcasting – "The Dragon and the Photograph" · 7:41pm Mar 5th, 2013

So I just finished reading Sunchaser's "The View From The Window" last night. I mentioned it at the end of my most recent (and wholly unworthy) ficlet. It's a great little story about a pegasus painter, and I fully recommend you all read it. But it got me thinking. Sunchaser actually has something of a following now, thanks to "The Lavender Letter", and
