Well, here we are.
It's been over a year since the last update, and actually nearly a year since I started writing this chapter. Based on the word count, I could have been carving the story out of granite and had it done quicker.
Sigh.
Still, it's totally going to be worth it, 'cause at the very end of this blog post, I'm going to have an outtake!
Like I said in the last blog post, I meant to end with something profound, but then forgot what.
Well, this isn't profound, and it hasn't got ponies, either. But it's a story update, sort of. Y'all have never seen it, and that totally counts for something, right?
Wrote this back in 2009 for my dad, when he was laid up with knee replacement surgery.
So it's come to this. I've finally exhausted a franchise. Until there's another Die Hard movie, I'm going to have to think of a different tagline for blog posts.
What is a story?
According to Google:
1. an account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment.
2. an account of past events in someone’s life or in the evolution of something.
Which is fine as far as it goes, but what does it mean?
It's just an object, doesn't mean what you think.
Exactly as it says on the tin: listen to the trials and tribulations of Ponyville's town treasurer at tax time!
That's right, just as all of us in the USA are getting our W-2s in the mail, and wondering where all our tax bits go.
It's all of Not Another One Shot Ober.
All of it.
