A lot of the response to "Make New Friends But Keep Discord" has been rather disgusting, frankly. Why is it considered socially acceptable to verbally bash and abuse hippies? Are they the bronies' "those people" I mentioned in a previous blog post? It's been a while, but I ran into something interesting that I felt the need to talk about.

The IDW comics have a somewhat tenuous connection with canon. A lot of people simply ignore them, but for me, I consider them valid unless they directly contradict information from the show.

But "Friends Forever Issue #14" has pretty much spit on so many episodes of the series that it's almost mind-boggling.

I found the first Equestria Girls enjoyable for what it was, despite its flaws, because it was still a decent vehicle for characters I am deeply attached to, and it at least attempted to be an emotional point for Twilight accepting her princesshood, even if this point was fudged by a tone that can best be described as "flat", with only a few hills mixed in every now and again. First of all, yes, I promised more writing, but living conditions have become wildly uncomfortable of late, and I don't trust myself to be able to write anything of decent quality without some semblance of comfort. Holy crap it's been two and a half months since my last story update? I should rectify that. Her Royal Highness: Fluttershy has been uploaded to FIMFiction. Also I think I am going to try to focus on "Past, Present, and Future" now. It has been far too long and I really want that story to be finished.

I have finally started writing again, slowly, in the way someone who hasn't eaten in several weeks will start off nibbling on carrots and crackers. I am working on "Her Royal Highness: Fluttershy", the second part to the "Her Royal Highnesses" story. Not many people read it, but really I promise despite being an E-Rated comedy it's not as insipid as it may seem.
