There is a quote that says that Genius and Mental Illness are two sides of the same coin. But Twilight's coin is left hanging in the air after a freak accident leaves her fighting not only for her life, but also for the memories that followed. Now, as her friends rush to find a cure for her affliction, she can only wait to see upon which side the coin will land.

Written for the group, In a Little Town Called Ponyville, I was challenged to write a dark story. A challenge that at first I thought I could never do. But with help from all those involved, this story took shape and now I'm proud to display it for all to see.

Braeburn's life is turned upside down when a medical emergency lands him in the hospital. Facing down death, Braeburn is left to question his choices in life. But when that life is saved by an anonymous donor, Braeburn is too afraid of those around him to take the risks he had always wanted to take. Soon, a series of dreams will lead him down a road of life, love and death and as it draws to a close, will Braeburn still be too afraid of the love that exists in his own crystal heart.

Twilight was more than happy to learn that Applejack wanted to visit and read a book along with her. Unbeknownst to Twilight, Applejack had something else in mind for their reading time. When the two of them meet amidst a blizzard and the secret is revealed, how will the two of them react to the outcome?

Rarity received a shock when she was invited to the spa by her friend Applejack. Knowing the farm pony's general distaste for anything girly, she begins to wonder why she would want to go to a place she hated. Rarity will soon discovers that this spa visit has a second purpose for Applejack and what is said will change the way they look at each other for the rest of their lives.

Originally written for a small contest in the Skype group I belong to, it evolved into a short story about friends and the secrets we keep from those around us. I want to thank heavily Amethyst Hope for editing as well as giving me the challenge of creating something I never thought I would write. But secrets are a heavy burden to hold, and it's beginning to show. Another town, another life, another group to try and fit into. But with his younger brother, StoveBolt and Butler GoldComet, Its a start to a new life, he hopes. CobraJet knows he can't hold it anymore, but whats a pony to do when that secret will change the lives of everyone he's ever loved. Will he learn that not all secrets are worth keeping.
