Short version is don't log out until further notice), and I spotted a fic I wanted to toss in my read later. Not being able to log in, I couldn't handle it from the ipad, and then the browser crashed, so I lost the tab.

"Night of the Shaggy Dog", which I'm pushing for this week, is almost done. I just gotta bang out a couple more paragraphs and throw it on gDocs. It's currently at a little under 1400 words. One to two thousand words seem to be a reasonable weekly standard to hold myself to. I mean, it feels kinda low, but it also seems to be about all I can get in. (Note that these are not necessarily proofread words.)

The 'original' Mary Sue is actually well worth reading. It's a parody, and apparently identification of, the character type; evidently rather common even then. At a mere ten paragraphs, it comes to only about a third of a page -- I found it on page #15/real page 25 of http://www.ftlpublications.com/bwebook.pdf (via the wikipedia article on Mary Sue).

In [1]the fic I'm working on currently, there's a bat-pony. He's a fairly substantial character, so of course I need to give him a good name.

A story came through the featured box today titled "Dawn of a New Era". I don't know how long it was in the featured box, the point is, I spotted it there. It didn't stay there long, though, because by the time I was able to get to my main computer to find it, it was out.

So I punched it into the search.

There were three fics by that title, plus a blog post.
