    a tribute a shoutout a question a plan

"Twilight?" Applejack eased her head through the doorway. Dulled clanks came from further inside, and much of the equipment crowding the room glowed with a dull purple sheen.

"Working!" called Twilight from the other side of the largest element.

    "Twilight, mail call!" insisted Applejack.

    Canonical Example

I have just tonight declared the season two time-travel episode "It's About Time" to be the canonical example of stable time loops involving sentient beings. Just wanted to share that.

In [1]the fic I'm working on currently, there's a bat-pony. He's a fairly substantial character, so of course I need to give him a good name.

During my pre-planing, I came across the name 'Trotsky'. I figured, "Hey, that'd make a great name for this guy, and best of all, I didn't ponify it!" So all my old notes that use a name refer to him as that. Trotsky is a real person, a Russian fellow contemporary with Lenin and whos views I'm not sure if I agree with[2]. Well, that's okay, because when I sat down to pound into that fic I used a different name, Typhus.

Well, typhus is a disease. Class of disease it seems, actually, but close enough. Hmmm, sounds like an argument not to use that name, either.

[1] One of (I know, I know...)
[2] I'm not sure if the character agrees with the real-life Trotsky, either. Pretty good reason to question the name, I'd say.
