Asistance request: fic finding · 2:10am May 6th, 2013
Earlier today, I was tooling around the featured box on the iPad (where I can't log on to fimfic, that's another story. Short version is don't log out until further notice), and I spotted a fic I wanted to toss in my read later. Not being able to log in, I couldn't handle it from the ipad, and then the browser crashed, so I lost the tab.
Well, that sucks.
It wasn't still in the featured box when I got back, and I didn't see it when I looked through the 'recent popular' list. I was hoping to recognize the cover art, it had Twilight (I think) and what I can only describe as 'filly Discord' on it. If that sounds familiar, could you please toss me a link?
Nobody's helped you yet? Okay, gimme a sec.
Okay, these are the closest things I can find to what you described in terms of cover art. It is, of course, possible that the author changed the picture.
Hope this helps:
Our Chaotic Melancholy
The Chance of a Lifetime
Discord Goes to Earth. Hilarity Ensues.
The Steadfast Sky
The Diary of Diddy Discord
Reversed Chaos
1058125 Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!
It turns out the fic I was after was The Chance of a Lifetime. Which no, does not have Twilight, it has Fluttershy. Looking at the times and tags, I must conclude that I hadn't found it in the featured box, but while looking through everything to see if I could find any Fluttershy-Celestia shipfics. (I gave up 80 items in.)
Looking back at what I actually wrote, I have no idea why I put 'filly'. Filly's not right; it covers 'young' but filly is for girls. I meant 'baby'. (No I didn't, I meant 'the age category covered by filly' and wasn't even thinking gender.)[1]
I'm going to be putting up another blog post, and I may delete this one. Would that bother you?
[1] Which raises an interesting question, is there/what is the word that covers that age group but doesn't (implicitly) specify 'girl'? I think I've seen 'colt' used as the male version, but the age group seems off.
1059157 Oh, I don't really care whether you delete or not, no.
