Obtuse writing is bad writing. No matter what English class taught you, writing a towering riddle of symbolism to conceal a simple and obvious point is not good communication. This makes me a little sad at the number of readers who didn't get the new chapter, even if I know most of them did.

...still, it is kind of cool to feel like a snobby intellectual writer.
