Okay, you guys know the drill. Let's summarise!

1) Word Count Goal: After 14 days I have hit exactly 40,000 words according to gdocs and I have never felt prouder, especially after a week that contained some of the toughest uni work I've had all year! Perhaps more impressive is that this places me just 10,000 words from the NaNo goal, and that means that with some luck I might even be finished (with NaNo, at least) within a day of posting this.

So now my birthday is wrapping up and my friends are all sent home on buses and coaches and trains, I feel like I can sit down and give a little report on how the first week of NaNoWriMo has gone.

1) Word Count Goal: After seven days I've reached 20,137 words, which is incredible compared to my expected ~15,000. This sets me well on the way to completing NaNo early this year, which is rather necessary if I want to polish this thing up by December.
