Quill Scratch

Dubs Rewatcher once described me as "an intense literary analyst". I describe me as "a room of monkeys with typewriters."

Inconsiderate buildings, always catching on fire right when I need them not to...

Could be worse. Last winter when the major floods happened, they stopped all trains going out of Aberystwyth, where I go to uni. In Wales of course, there is only one east-west line, so they couldn't just reroute us. We were told by staff that the line was about to be swept away at Borth and the cutting outside Machynlleth had collapsed, and caused a major mudslide, blocking the line. And we couldn't use buses either because the heavy rainfall had caused landslides along the only east-west road, so the police had closed that too. Luckily, as soon as the tides dropped, a few hours later, they were able to get us to Machynlleth and beyond that, the roads were fairly safe.

And hey, reflect on this; my nearest reservist fire brigade is two hours away, and my nearest A&E even further. If something goes wrong in Wales and you aren't in Cardiff or up near Wrexham, you're stuffed.
