Yup, this is the secret project I've been working on for the past couple of months. The art took less time, but it was easier to write the story than draw.

Okay, because I'm stumped, I'm having a contest. The person who I select gets their OC pony into the next chapter of The Black Ponies!
Rules:
1. No alicorns, obviously.
2. Looking for adults or at least teen "yearlings", not foals.
3. It's a small role, and not a glamorous one, so if you were expecting your OC to be Twilight's high school crush, not happening.
4. I may throw in some art as well as a gift, ^_^
I actually had this chapter finished earlier in the week, but at the request of a pre-reader, I added a scene detailing the condition of Octavia/Blinky. Obviously she's still not in good shape, but said reader wanted to know if she lived or not, so.... For the record, the song DJ/Vinyl is singing is "Untitled" by the Cure.
...I have so many characters that I have to now use a spreadsheet to track them? Well, it wouldn't be the first project I've had that's needed a series bible, so maybe I'll proffer it to everyone later. Might be interesting.
I'm going to share with you all a scene from an upcoming chapter.

Every day is silent and gray….”
Saw this the other day, and my mind has been afire. I'll be knocking something out over the next couple of days just to clear it from my mind, lest it drive my wife nuts any further. ^_^
Finished Chapter Five late last night and then I proceeded to ignore one of my biggest rules of writing: I put it straight up without giving it a day to sit so I could remove myself slightly from it and thus edit it better. I'm seeing all the mistakes now and it reads horribly. I'll go through and put up an improved copy this week as soon as possible. Sorry to all the readers and thanks to Squeaky Toy for catching the biggest mistake.
By now, those who have been paying attention probably have figured out what is going on with the war. The rest of you will have to simply wait until the next chapter.
Thought I'd have a little fun with the third chapter. The biggest one was giving a voice to Pinkie's family members (aside from Blinky/Octavia). Looking at Mr. Pie (unofficial name "Clyde", for those keeping up with the Pac-Man motif), for some reason he reminded me of Mike Meyer's Scottsman imitations, which is why Mr. Pie originally hails from Inverneighs (Inverness, Scotland). But since I felt the Scottish accent was overdone, I decided to give him a Sommerset accent (from the
