Little Bright, who has recently fallen ill, is coming to regret what his life has become. A pegasus who was once a member of the Royal Guard, protectors of the princesses and all of Equestria, should never find himself in such a position. But a visit from his niece and nephew could be just what Bright needs to get his hopes up, as they want to hear about his past as a guard, much to his enjoyment. What incredible tale will he weave for them? Surely being a member of the Royal Guard has its ups and downs, but how much is Bright willing to share?

Ponies would only dream of being in such a position, and a simple guard has found himself in that position, but this isn't a dream. That would be too cruel. Now a date has turned into the beginning of the rest of his life with, or possibly without, his love. What will the others think of their romance? How will they react?

But meeting some new friends are sure to change his life, but will it be for the better? Will these six girls bring him the joy and happiness he hopes and dreams for? Or will they simply replay his past and cause him even greater pain than he has already suffered?

This is going to be the first book in a series I will be working on. I have decided that the series will consist of three parts: The Beginning, The Middle, and The End. Those names are up for debate and if anyone has any other ideas for names, I'm open to new ideas!
