Horseshoes, Crabs · 5:11pm Jul 26th, 2018

Despite Amtrak's best efforts, I am now safely ensconced in my hotel room. Now comes the tricky part of finding people. And interacting with people. Through speech.

Whee...

Update: I have already briefly joined the coterie of Her Infernal Majesty, Queen Daybreaker. Or at least a cosplayer with a very impressive full-body suit, especially given that she apparently put it together in a week.

Humidifier Celebration · 11:04pm Jul 25th, 2018

I wouldn't exactly call Baltimore a furnace; tomorrow's high will just be in the high eighties. In any case, this is a more detailed pre-Bronycon blog, complete with FoME panel times! And a small plea for help.

Friendship is Card Games: Yakity-Sax · 11:13am Jul 22nd, 2018

Technically speaking, the hiatus doesn’t end until the start of August, but Discovery Family saw fit to give us a taste of things to come. And it apparently tastes like Seussian bagpipes and bleeding ears. Let’s take it from the top.

Comrade's Commission · 1:21am Jul 20th, 2018

One of the things I'm slated to do at BronyCon is help with an improv comedy bit called "And That's How Equestria Was Made!" Slight problem, though: The scheduled host, Super Trampoline, had the vagaries of life hit him hard enough that he doesn't have hotel money available at the moment. Hence, emergency commissions. There are only three slots left, so act now and get this magnificent madman to Baltimore!

Midnight Realization · 1:51am Jul 19th, 2018

First, a bit of background: The Seer's Parables are set on the plane of Shadowmoor, which is basically a universe of especially grim fairy tales. Lorwyn is the sanitized Disney version. Shadowmoor is the one where even the good little boys and girls get eaten; it just happens to them slightly later.

In any case, I was rereading them just a bit ago when I was struck by something familiar:

Friendship is Card Games: For the Pony Who Has Everything and Friends Forever #32 · 10:55am Jul 15th, 2018

Be advised, there may be a new episode coming this Friday at 2 PM. It’s clear that Discovery Family’s “Summer Surprises” is code for “lol what’s regular, predictable scheduling.” On a similar note, today’s comic took me off-guard during my scheduling.

Need Art? Turn to Frog! · 11:23am Jul 14th, 2018

Staggered echo of an earlier emergency post: Amazing fan artist MustLoveFrogs is in dire financial straits at the moment. Commissions are most definitely open, with the pricing information available here. Every little bit helps, folks, and you'll get some amazing art out of the deal.

Medium-Term Plans · 10:17pm Jul 11th, 2018

Since it's apparently the thing to do, I'm happy to announce that I'll be attending Bronycon this year. Indeed, I'll even be speaking as Pascoite's flash fiction panel! ... whenever that is. :unsuresweetie:

Looking forward to seeing everyone who's coming!

Say what you will about the latest special, it still inspired me to write a Sunlight short. You can find it in Dueling Keyboards.

Friendship is Card Games: Rollercoaster of Friendship · 11:10am Jul 8th, 2018

A bit ironic that they seemed to forget to advertise this special rather than the one involving memory magic. Still, it’s here and we can take a look at something I don’t believe we’ve ever seen before: A story set in the human world that’s longer than a few minutes and doesn’t focus on Sunset or a Twilight.
