The next two chapters of Myths are both just about ready for publishing. There is just a few minor edits needed to chapter 17, and a bit of a more thorough pass through 18. I'm sorry for the long break between chapters. Life has been tugging me away from writing recently. Drama between friends that I got involved with sent me for a loop.

Not much else to say. If things go well, next chapter should be up some time this weekend.

There is going to be a slight delay on the next chapter of Myths. With everything going on in the story right now I'm pushing further ahead so I can better line up my ducks. There is some sliding around of chapters, and events within chapters, possible as a result.

Well, I finally broke my long avoidance of watching the show, the reason being that a certain race was featured. I just couldn't not see it! And so glad that I did! I love the design for the show's kirin. The horns, the scales, the lion-like manes, the slender tails with tufts, and cloven hooves! Somepony knew what they were doing with the kirin's appearance, that is for sure!

But, it was the song I loved the most!

I've decided to go in an make some alterations to the latest chapter in order to either tone-down or outright remove the 'prophecy'. It is just a bit too much of an anvil/blunt force exposition, and spoils too much potential tension from the finale. Looking back at things, I think it would have undergone more revisions if that part of the chapter had seen more attention. Part 3 of The Rariad is ALMOST done. The chapter is, finally, rough draft complete. What happens next is some editing, pre-reading, and going over the chapter with a finer toothed comb to see if I've missed anything. Contradictions, errors, paragraphs that read like having sand poured into the eyes. That sort of thing.

Only trouble is I've gone over the chapter so many times now I go cross-eyed at certain sections...

The latest commission is finished! It sure has been a while since I got any new artwork made for Myths, hasn't it? Depicting Twilight from an upcoming, not-too distant chapter, Nalesia has really outdone herself this time. I love what she's done with the, admittedly overreaching, request I made. She came up with a few things while working on this piece that I've since added into upcoming chapters, such as the scrolls.

So.... I got nothing this year. Was seriously considering not even doing an update.

2017 was a decent year. I wish I had gotten more done on the Rariad. Rather upset with myself that the second chapter has languished in editorial limbo for seven months. Myths has been right where I hoped, baring the break for the trip. Goal is to stay the course with Myths. On that front, the next chapter is in the final stages of editing.
