Winter Update for Sunset of Battle

Going to be a short update.

Chapters 15 and 16 are in the final editing phases now. I'm waiting to publish anything however until after chapters 17 and 18 are done so I have the latitude to tweak 15 and 16 as needed. Once the current story arc is finished I'll start posting the chapters on a weekly basis.

    That is all...

    Like I said; short update.

    A minor alteration...

I made a minor edit to the most recent chapter. There were two little words that had become a massive pain in my arse working on the next chapter. They were, 'to her'. :twilightangry2: It was leading to rabbit holes of character arguments that spiraled into hellish domains where finding a feasible 'out' for Sunset grew dire indeed. After several attempts I've decided to just rip out the root

Nearing the end of Schola Arc, and future planning.

So, as I begin to near the final rise in action for the schola arc of Sunset of Battle I'm looking more and more ahead to what I want to do with the story and where to go next. My general plan is to do a time-skip to when they are novitiates and start the next arc in-media res. But what to do and who to have as the antagonists?

A thought on Kirin... · 2:49am Sep 10th, 2018

Well, I finally broke my long avoidance of watching the show, the reason being that a certain race was featured. I just couldn't not see it! And so glad that I did! I love the design for the show's kirin. The horns, the scales, the lion-like manes, the slender tails with tufts, and cloven hooves! Somepony knew what they were doing with the kirin's appearance, that is for sure! :pinkiehappy:

But, it was the song I loved the most!

It lead to a little bit of a binge watching. Watched the shadow-pony episodes, and another one with Rockhoof (sp?).

I'd love to see Maatsheptra drawn in the same style as the kirin village leader. Mind you, she and the rest of my kirin are nothing like those in the show. At least in personality or powers. Then again, I used Sombra as a kirin and wiggled things around to make it all 'fit'. :derpytongue2:

This sort of episode is just what I love. No Starlight. No friendship school. Just a simple(ish) story focused on a couple of the Mane Six. It has helped get the ol' creative muse singing again. Chapter 18 of Duty is almost ready to be placed atop 17 on my editors desk. Which probably for the best that the two be worked on together. A lot rides on the next couple chapters after the mess I made with 16. :twilightblush:

Oh great, and now I just realized I missed the perfect opportunity to use, 'Rainbows wont light up the sky unless you let it rain' after grumbling about the last chapter of Myths. :ajbemused:

I wonder if Twilight has kirin ancestry, since she catches fire when she gets angry enough... :rainbowlaugh:

Haven't watched this season yet. Haven't watched any show at all actually since the Windows update of may made my computer unable to recognize HDMI connection. Still want to watch, haven't had my dose of cartoon horse in a while.

That is a shame. I've not been watching the show by choice. Since Twilight got her wings I've only seen a few episodes here and there. Enough to despise Starlight Sue with the heat of a thousand suns. Though I only watched a couple episodes with them, I actually liked the Young Six (If I recall what people are calling them).

I need to rewatch the earlier seasons again, actually. It's been a problem for a little while where I've been having trouble hearing various character's voices. :twilightblush:

I saw someone else wondering that same question on a video with the episode's song. :rainbowlaugh: I think magic just makes anger combustible. :twilightoops:
