When Sunset Shimmer left Equestria through the Mirror Portal, she did so in a state of shock, sadness, and anger. All alone in a new world, she struggled to find her way. Now, in a letter to a her younger brother back in Equestria, she recounts her feelings and the reasons she came through the portal on that fateful day.

This story was written for the Everfree Northwest 2014 Writing Competition. Its stipulations stated to "Show an established My Little Pony villain or rival either being redeemed or showing them in a positive light." There was a limit of 1000-3000 words.

I got the idea for this story during my Modern Physics class. I was sitting there, looking out the window, and the idea for the opening came to me while I watched the clouds. I wrote that out then and there, but then wasn't too sure how to proceed. So I kept writing what came to mind, and later that evening, I realized exactly what to write. That's the first time that something like that has ever happened to me. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy.

Babs is working as a defense attorney, but lately she's been feeling melancholy.

This was written for a fanfic contest. The stipulations were that it had to be between 100 and 2,000 words in length, and the topic was "apples". This is what I came up with.

After her defeat at the Royal Canterlot Wedding, Chrysalis finds a pony who explains to her the nature of love and helps her to, perhaps, find happiness, for her and for both the changelings and the ponies.

[Author's Comment] I'd like to note that, while this description may make it sound thus, this is not a shipping story. At least, I do not intend it to be one, but we shall see how it turns out.

[Author's Comment 2] I am still working on this, but I got busy with school and haven't finished it yet. I'm probably going to have to put it on hold until after November because of NaNoWriMo. And I know that the chapters are kinda awkward because there's not much in each chapter. The chapters are just the chunks I'm uploading in. I'm going to edit it and either get rid of all of the chapters when it's finished or make the chapters longer.
