So a while back I decided to submit A Figment of Her Imagination to The Royal Guard. I did it without fanfare or announcement, because after having been burned by EqD twice (one being Figment) I didn't have high hopes.
So imagine my delight when I received word that Figment was approved for TRG on the first try!
Or so it sometimes seems.
I just learned that this awesome guy, who I'd commissioned to draw the cover of Twilight's Inferno, is sorely lacking in the PC department right now. Darned machines, what for they gotta break on peplz? While I wish him the best of luck in getting a new computer and don't blame him in the least, I find it particularly frustrating. This now means that each and every one of my four commissions has been delayed!

I'm always hoping to find ways to gain a little more attention for my material but, as I've mentioned time and again, I suck at self-promotion. One thing I notice people doing is to post a blog whenever they update a story. So I'm wondering; how well does that work? Anyone got any opinions on this matter? Part of me thinks it wouldn't help since all my followers are aware of my stories in the first place, but then I think that it can't hurt to remind them of my current projects. Especially
I've been moving a bit slower than I'd like with my projects, and it is frustrating. Hopefully a productive weekend will get me back in the swing of things! I've managed to finish the first two chapters of Twilight's Inferno (TWI), but the pace of the writing isn't at all satisfying. I've got another three months to get this finished, though! My plan: write two chapters of TWI for every one of Lightning's Bolt.
Today, about 30 minutes ago, my friend Whisperwings passed on. The cancer took her far faster than anyone expected. I don't really have much to say about this. What do you say after six years? I think all I can really do is sign off and keep to myself for a while. But, just to have a little something to commemorate a life well spent, I'm gonna post some of my favorites by her. She deserves the attention. She always did.
My plans have been moving along at a mediocre pace for a while now, but certain events have forced me to speed things up a little. Friend and fellow Random Romance Admin Danger Beans has alerted me to a certain contest being put on by the group Badass Twilight =
So Chapter 5 of Lightning's Bolt is up and Chapter 8 is ready for pre-reading. Now I've got to go through another 8 things on my list before I can get back to that. Guess I better get to work!
Six or so years ago, I decided to try the RP scene. It entertained me for a while, but in the end I concluded that it wasn't for me.
