And there you have it. Sage has knowledge of what lies ahead, yet it is not time yet to reveal these dark secrets. When will they be revealed? Soon, very, very soon. Until then: Ponies!
Lemme know readers if you all saw things I may have missed. I'm not perfect and lord knows I'll never claim to be either lol. Enjoy the chapter cause it's a good thing, let's play a game, it's called spot the references
6726701 Mimesis was a freaking huge drider and the Draconequii (Not Discord this time) were on a rampage. And since the magic dissipated too quickly to do their usual thing (because you know... Earth), they just decided to concentrate all this magic in Tyler and let it go with a boom.
Taking a safety distance from the edge of the roof, the friends grouped together and Twilight took a look at everyone. “The Elements of Harmony are not at their full capacity due to the lack of magic in this world. The magic dissipates too quickly, even with these dimensional rips in the air. But I have a radical idea. That Changeling drider is something the Elements of Harmony could battle, if the attack was only stronger. So we need to focus the attack into one searing burst to not only battle the drider, but also reverse the chaos caused by the Draconequii that are on the loose.”
Shrugging, Tyler pointed into the skies. “And how do you suppose we do something about that? We can't get a clear aim to hit any one of them. And their distance differs from that of Mimesis, who comes directly at us. How do we get that much power into one attack?”
Giving Tyler a serious stare, Twilight nodded at him. “We overcharge you with harmony magic!”
Do I think that Tyler was wrong for keeping information of his well-being from those who care about him? Yes. Do I believe what his herd mates did to him was right? ... Absolutely not.
I'm sorry, but I was extremely uncomfortable reading the 'punishment' scene and everything proceeding. It wasn't right. Simply put. For Twilight, Celestia, Luna, and Applejack to come to the conclusion that raping him as punishment for him being tortured from the inside is a good thing... leaves me aghast. I whole-heartedly agreed that, yes he probably shouldn't have kept the information from them, but seriously for them to do something like that is really immoral.
Let's recap here. He fought two Alicorns of the Darkness, got thrown into darkness due to the Heart of Darkness, found out now he has to live with beings that could literally control him, and has to worry on weather or not these spirits would harm those he loves. A lot of stuff on one beings plate, right? He was scared, and kept that information to himself in fear. He didn't deserve the punishment they gave him. PTSD could have been a result.
From a fellow reader and writer, I really wish you'd re-write that. It's low for them. I expected a talk, not... that.
“Because I be, what I be. I would tell thee what thou want to know if I could, lass, but I be a sage. And no sage anywhere, ever gave anyone a straight answer.” This earned him a low grumble from Luna. I love this part I don't know why it made me laugh so hard!
Hmm, from the comments here the previous punishment was fucking horrible. But this new one? Still nowhere near humane. I mean being locked inside your own mind in what is essentially a sensory deprivation room for an entire year? Do they understand how utterly damaging that would be for the human psyche? Hell the fact that they're punishing him at all for this is just wholly fucked up. "You're going through changes that could very well damage your body and mind, and are already dealing with SEVERE PTSD from these events. So we're going to punish you by putting you into a sensory deprivation room for an entire year for being so utterly terrified of telling us about this." Like what the fuck kind of logic is that?!
10955538 Well, the original punishment was AJ riding him while he was bound to a bed with a magic spell making him temporarily incapable to climax and the room was made sound proof. Now, with this sentence, Luna has the authority here and will check on him 12 times, since she will check on him every 5 minutes. So this basically means each month he will have a visitor. And who if not the prince of Willpower can withstand such an ordeal? Also remember we are dealing with a justice system that likes to put evildoers into imprisonment for a thousand years. Luna can tell stories about that.
And there you have it. Sage has knowledge of what lies ahead, yet it is not time yet to reveal these dark secrets. When will they be revealed? Soon, very, very soon. Until then: Ponies!

Did I miss something? I don't recall remembering the Elements being used on Tyler in Manhattan. Care to jog my memory here, please?

Ah yes, I remember. That was when he unleashed a wave of magic which turned the Draconequii to stone and killed Mimesis. Thanks.
Love the Jekyll and Hyde references .
I played the songs while I was reading just for added atmosphere.
Interesting... But I have a feeling that this is only the tip of the iceberg...
