After their escape from LV-426, an onboard explosion causes the four survivors to be cast onto an unknown planet, millions of light years away from Earth. They seem to have brought an old friend with them.
2168433 Same. Me and the lads have been playing it constantly, and I have gotten pretty decent at the multiplayer (I definitely should have bought the PC version. I hear it looks a lot better). Plus, Gearbox are promising more in the DLCs so I'm still hopeful!
Hhhmmm... You have my attention. I love the "Alien" series and I'm interested in seeing what you do with a MLP crossover. I suggest you give this a Mature rating, this is an "Aliens" crossover after all.
Meh. Can't tell if good... I'll read it later. I just don't think anything related to Aliens will be good anymore. Not that it doesn't have potential. I'm just fucked over from Aliens: Colonial Marines. They fucked up. BIG TIME.
2173846 I can't even fathom the quality of the game they come out with next. It may be either REALLY stupid, or REALLY good. I just really hope it's the later. I don't want anymore disappointment.
It looks alright so far, however, 122, 394, 766, 991 (122 billion) light years is an incomprehensibly large distance. Bear in mind that the Milky Way is 100,000-120,000 light years across.
Bishop wouldn’t be surprised if there were some sort of sentient life on this planet. Perhaps that would be the first goal when the humans awoke, to find sentient life.
Pretty sure you meant 'sapient', since bishop discusses the possibility of obtaining oil later on and the hostility of said life forms.
Sentient means "experiencing sensation or feeling" and "having a basic awareness of itself and its surroundings" Sapience is the ability to think abstractly about the world, to search for meaning instead of purpose. Sapient means "able to act with appropriate judgment, higher mental faculties and/or rational thought which is a component of intelligence".
Dogs are sentient Dolphines are sentient Jellyfishes are not sentient
Humans are sapient... so would be Wookies and Ewoks, and Ponies in this case.
EDIT: I know "sentient" is used since the golden age of scifi, even in 'Star Trek' and 'Star Wars' this term is used to express "human-level intelligents", but terminologically it is wrong. Sapient means "human-level rational thought and intellect". A being capable of complex speech is a good sign of it's 'sapience'.
...WUT?! How da Heck can you tell if it's angry or not?! I remember those things "even though called facehugger's" don't exactly have a face themselves to stare with Imagen angry facehugger... should make a hissing sound like an angry cat!
At least the facehugger can be glad it didn't run into Big Macintosh... I've been playing Colonial Marunes a bit recently. So I'm in an "Alien" mood right now.
“Yes. But it’s not modern. The buildings resemble late medieval houses made of wood and with thatched roofs. There are also settlements in the sky with strange winged equines. These equines seem to dominate the land and come in many varieties of colours. There appears to be three different species of equine. One with wings, one with no apparent mutations and one with a strange horn that seems to emit large amounts of controlled radiation.”
Really? It could tell them all THAT? Well if it's THAT good it damn well better be able to fix me breakfast and a cup of coffee. Fuck me.
this
this has potential.....
though you might want to put a "gore" tag and, maybe, an "adventure" tag on there.....
this is an "alien" crossover after-all
Looking forward to this story. Hopefully it's much better than the story from the godawful game, "Aliens: Colonial Marines."
BISHOP! I look foward to seeing more of this.
2168354 I actually thought the game was pretty decent. However, it was a far cry from what was promised to us.
2168275 Good point.

2168656 Me and the lads? Are you a Brit? I was born in England myself, but now I'm a Canadian.
2168694 I am indeed a Brit, and I am proud of it!
I have a new fan fiction coming out soon my dear friends and would love to have you look at it.

2173783 Thoroughly agreed. I also see the fanbase slowly falling to its knees. Hopefully, something will pull the Aliens fanbase out of hell.

While I enjoyed that game when I got past its problems, but I agree. That game ruined the reputation of aliens.

Hmm, an alternate sequel to Aliens, as opposed to Alien 3. I like.
However, for your information, there was only one facehugger, from one egg. It just so happened to carry dual embryos, but that was in Alien 3.

Why the hell did they leave their weapons on the Sulaco!? Better question, why the hell does a military dropship not have weapons onboard!?
Considering the Milky Way is 100,000 lightyears across, yeah, it's probably incorrect.
