Chapter 5: The Discovery (rough draft)

After Cadence went over to Flurry to see if she was ok, she turned her attention to me and saw me hiding under Flurry's bed. She called some guards into the room before she used her magic to knock me out.

A little while later, I woke up and saw that I was in a small room with nothing but an iron door and a small bed. I walked up to the door to see if I could open it. But the door was locked. I panicked because I thought I was stuck going to be stuck room.

I sat down on the bed and cried a bit, not knowing if I would be able to see Flurry again. The door suddenly opened, and I looked over to see a guard coming in. He stood beside the door as Cadence walked in right behind him. As she came into the room and said,

"well, this isn't quite what I expected”

Then she pointed toward me and added,

"an unreformed changeling living in my daughter's room. Now I have seen everything. Now tell me why you are here"

I said nothing and continued to cry from fear. Cadence looked at me and said,

"if you will not answer me, then I have no choice but to leave you here until you do. "

just then, Flurry walked by and when she saw me, she ran to me shouting "Zack" but the guard blocked Flurry from going toward m.

Cadence spoke to Flurry, saying,

"Now, Flurry, I think it's best if you wait outside while I'm doing something right now"

Flurry replied, saying,

"you told me that Zack left the castle, but you locked him in a dungeon instead"

Cadence responds

"Flurry, I don't think you understand. Somepony was living in your room without my knowledge. What if he hurt you?"

Flurry looked at Cadence and yelled in frustration, saying,

"he didn't hurt me and he would never hurt me," Flurry teleported beside me, looked at Cadence and continued

"he is my friend and I won't let anyone hurt him and he would do the same for me"

Flurry said that with a look of determination on her face. Cadence was stunned at hearing that out of her daughter's mouth. Cadence then said,

"fine, but you both stay right there and try not to move. I'll be back soon"

With that, Cadence left. When Cadence left the room, Flurry took a sigh of relief and said,

"Sorry about that, Zack. My mom can be a little protective when it comes to me"

I looked at Flurry and said,

"Don't worry, Flurry, I understand. I mean, who wouldn't be protective of you"

when I said that, Flurry started blushing, and she tried to hide the fact that she was blushing

I smiled as I looked at Flurry and said,

"Flurry, there is no need to hide your face. You look pretty cute when you blush"

Flurry blushes more and starts laughing awkwardly as she tries to come up with a response.

Once she gets a hold of herself, she turns to me and says,

"You are so cheesy! How do you expect me to respond to that?"

I laugh and say,

"I don't know, "

We both start laughing. That was when Cadence walked into the room and said,

"I see that I'm interrupting a fun time."

We both stopped laughing when she said that, then she continued

"Zack, you have my permission to continue living in this place, but you must keep to yourself. You cannot let anyone see you or speak to you other than Flurry and me. Do you understand?"

I nod my head and said,

"yes, ma'am".

Cadence continues speaking "now let's discuss where your room is"

Flurry spoke up and said, "why not he just continue to stay in my room"

cadence replies

"because I don't feel comfortable with him in your room"

Flurry then replied,

"but I don't mind. He is my friend, plus he feels safe when he is with me."

Cadence looked frustrated with the situation she was in, and after a while of Flurry pleading with her mother to let me stay in her room, Cadence, finally, let up and said,

"fine, he can sleep in your room but he will not be allowed to be seen by anyone outside your room, got it"

Flurry nodded her head in agreement and Cadence walked out of the room with the guards following behind her. Once they left, I snickered. Flurry looked at me and said,

"What are you laughing at?"

I replied

"your mom forgot I can change my form and I can change what I look like whenever I want"

When Flurry realized I could change my form, she giggled along with me. Then when she calmed herself down, she gave me a hug, saying.

"Zack, can you promise me something? "

I replied, saying,

"Anything"

she said,

"Promise me that no secrets will ever come between us and that w

I hugged her back and said,

"I promise Flurry, but may I ask why"

Flurry replied

"Because I was upset when my mom told me you left, and I thought that my only friend had abandoned me, but I was so glad to find out that wasn't the case. I just want to make sure that you are always safe. Because I feel safe when I'm with you and I hope we stay together."

After Flurry said that, I was shocked. I didn't realize that I meant that much to her. I replied,

"I didn't realize that I meant that much to you Flurry"

Flurry replied, saying,

"I don't think you realize how much you really mean to me"

I smiled and pulled flurry into a hug, saying, "it makes me happy to know that you feel that way about me"

Flurry smiled as she hugged me back

after a few minutes, Flurry let me go saying "it's getting let, let's head to bed" I nodded my head as we made our way back to Flurry's room

And We said good night to each other. I couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen next.
