Chapter 6

Spike and the girls were in the school and were going about their school day as usual. Right now it was lunch and they were eating. As they did, Spike asked

"So, is there anything to do today?"

"Not much really, why?" Sunset asked.

Spike was only left a bit dismayed, until Venom spoke mentally

"How's the mirror world?"

"Venom?!" Spike said in his thoughts

"Correct. Remember? I am in your mind to protect your consciousness."

"Oh. Right. So, what's the problem?" Spike asked to Venom in his mind.

"Right now nothing, but I just want to ask. Do you have a crush?" Venom asked with a teasing tone in his demonic voice.

"N-No!" Spike said in his thoughts while blushing, which the girls noticed

"Really? Not even to a specific someone? or rather...somepony?"

"Um, Spike? Are ya'll okay?" Applejack said

"Y-Yes!" Spike said, still blushing

"Your skin is turning red Spike. What's wrong?" Sunset asked moving closer to him

"N-Nothing!" Spike said in a hurry

The girls were taken aback by his sudden answer as the green haired boy tried to get rid of his blush. As he tried, the girls decided to not pry further and continued to change the topic. As they spoke, Spike began to write something in his notebook. It looked to be a set of words formed into lyrics. He then proceeded to leave the cafeteria and head to the music room of CHS.

"Well, I guess I should do something then nothing." Spike said

As Spike sat down near a chair, he then pulled out a picture of the Rainbooms and looked around to see if anyone was around. After he saw nobody, he began to sing.

As Spike sang, the door opened and 2 students began to hear him sing. These two were Trixie and Flash Sentry

"Is that the new kid?" Flash asked

"What is he doing?" Trixie asked

I talk to all them other chicks just to make you jealous

As Spike sang, Flash and Trixie saw Sunset and Twilight (Sci-Twi) coming, having hear Spike's voice

"Flash? What's going on?" Sunset asked

"You know the new kid? Spike?" Flash asked

"Yeah?" Sci-Twi replied

"He's in the music room singing like an angel." Trixie said

Sunset and Sci-Twi heard this and moved them aside and entered the music classroom and closed the door. They saw as Spike was singing, he began to slowly glow green.

You always talking reckless
Sending a text message.
Telling me to pack and get going
And then I get a call a minute, you sounded so innocent.
Saying that you can't sleep alone.

I'll go and find every receipt to show how you spend all my dough
You wanna go inside my room and burn up all of my clothes

As Spike sang, he began to undergo a transformation similar to Sunset's pony-human form. His ears began to show green sharp fins, he had purple dragon wings on his back, his purple skin began to show hardened scales and his eyes showed dragon like slits, his right eye was light green while his left was dark green. This didn't go unnoticed by Sunset or Sci-Twi as they witnessed him slowly glow more brighter

"Wait, what's happening to him?" Sci-Twi asked

"I think he must have an Equestrian form like us!" Sunset said

They noticed a red heart appearing on his chest and pulsating as if to represent how he felt during his song. As he sang, the green glow stopped, and Spike looked like a half-human half Equestrian dragon hybrid compared to Sunset's half-human half-pony transformation. Sunset, witnessing this pulled out her phone and began to text on it.

Spike stopped singing and began to hear clapping. He turned and saw it was none other then Sunset Shimmer and the other girls giving him looks of amazement and impressed smiles. Spike, with a blush and embarrassed look asked

"Um. H-How long you were all standing there?"

"Long enough to know you sing a good love song darling." Rarity complimented

"Bleeghhh!" Rainbow Dash said giving a puke like gesture, which earned her a glare from Rarity

"Wow Spikey! You have a really sweet voice!" Pinkie complimented

Spike only blushed and laughed sheepishly as Sunset added

"Uh, Spike? Aside from the song, you may wanna look in a mirror."

Spike, with a confused look, saw a window and saw his reflection and gave a look of surprise.

"Whoa! I look like...me! But only half!" Spike said

"It must be the Equestrian magic in his body like our geodes." Sunset said

Spike for a few seconds, only gave a look of amazement and began to turn back to his human form.

"Well, that was short." Spike said

As Spike grabbed his bag and things, he left the music room with the girls following. As they left, Sci-Twi asked

"So Spike?"

'Yeah?" Spike asked

"Why exactly did you go and sing anyways?"

"I dunno. I guess I felt a little....different then when I was in Equestria" Spike said confused

"Wow, I guess it was rough for you huh?" Applejack asked

"That's one way of putting it." Spike replied

As they began to leave to their next classes, Spike turned and was about to do the same, until a voice called to him.

"Spike!"

Spike turned and saw it was Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna

"May we speak to you? Privately?" Luna asked

Spike only sweated in fear as Sunset, who happened to be there gave a look of worry as he followed them.

(In Equestria)

Twilight and her friends were in Canterlot along with seven other ponies meeting with the Princesses. They had recently returned after freeing one of their own from a dark creature (Pony of Shadows).

As they spoke, a loud sound was heard.

"What was that?!" The stallion in the helmet (Flash Magnus) asked

As soon as the rumbling stopped after a few seconds, leaving them confused.

At the area where the Pony of Shadows was banished, a dark green portal was opened. Out of it came Dark Spike, who said

"Well, time to go to work."

As he left the area, he then shapeshifted and in dark green flames, he had disguised himself as Sunburst and left the area.

"I guess I should try and hold the so-called Princess of Friendship's power down to an extent. Right now I need to find a way to defeat them and the Pillars. When the time is right, I will attack. Right now I need to return to the mirror world. But first, I'm going to ensure I am not behind in achieving my revenge here at least."

"Sunburst"/Dark Spike thought as he left the village.

How many times does that guy have to be defeated ? Though I do wonder how twilight is going to prove that she has learned her lesson considering she so busy thinking about how she is sorry that she refuses to really understand how she went wrong and what she needs to do. She wants to give an apology and forget about it once it accepted. She promised spike that she would be better once and broke her word

Not sure if the folks of Equestria will have what it takes to defeat D.S. this time without Spike.
