Chapter 3
Spike was in class along with Sunset Shimmer and he listened to the teacher continue her lecture. The teacher Mrs. Harshwhinny continued to show different equations on her chalkboard and write other numbers and formula's
Spike was meanwhile, copying the notes on a notebook Sunset got him and working along with the class. As he did, A note went his way. Spike saw the note and opened it.
Meet us at lunch
Spike turned and saw it was from the human versions of the girls. He then merely went back to listening to the teacher.
RING
The bell rang, and the students began to leave the classroom.
"Remember, you all have to do your homework before this Thursday." Mrs. Harshwhinny said as the students left.
Spike, meanwhile began to leave and follow the next area of his class.
"Ok, next is Gym with Coach Spitfire." Spike said.
(At the Gymnasium)
Spike was entering the gym and saw the students entering and putting on jerseys or sports clothing. As Spike entered, Coach Spitfire noticed him.
"Hey newbie!"
Spike stopped and turned around as Spitfire said "You need a jersey to be in this class."
"Yes Coach!" Spike said, taking the jersey and heading to the boys changing room. As he was there, he saw other counterparts from Equestria such as Soarin, Thunderlane, Caramel and Flash.
"Hey new kid!" Soarin said to Spike.
Spike turned and said "Yeah?"
"This your first time here?" Caramel asked.
"Yes." Spike said and continued to change.
"Well, get ready because that Rainbow Dash girl is really good at sports. She's the captain of every sports team of CHS." Flash said
"Thanks for the heads up Fla......who are you guys?" Spike asked, not wanting to act suspicious
"Name's Thunderlane."
"I'm Caramel."
"Flash Sentry."
"Soarin."
"Nice to meet you. My friends call me Spike."
This made the boys a little confused and suspicious and Flash said "Wait...why do you sound....familiar?"
"Um, well I just recently transferred here from...a far place I don't want to talk about. It's kind of personal" Spike asked, twiddling it's fingers
"Oh...I guess that makes sense." Thunderlane said
"If you don't wanna tell us that's ok." Soarin said in understanding.
Spike nodded and sighed with relief as he finished putting his jersey on. The guys then left the change room and went to the gymnasium.
"Alright settle down maggots!" Spitfire said as the class got ready.
"Your all thinking why haven't we done laps or lift weights or climbed the ropes yet? Well to answer that question, it's because of the news of a new student in the school and throw a bit of a damper in my schedule. Today, we're going to do something more different. Aside from training on weights and cardio, your going to do some sports training also. And for my best students, you get a few minutes off, but after that, your joining in. Now then, will the new student come forward." Spitfire said to the students
Spike, knowing it was him she was referring to, slowly stepped up as the students muttered.
"That's the new kid? Oh boy is he toast."
"Poor kid, he has to go through Spitfire's training."
"He might have to compete with the best athletes to win too."
As Spike approached, Spitfire walked around and circled him like he was her prey in the jungle. As she circled him, Spitfire said
"So little man. You think your hot stuff?"
Spike didn't answer, he was too scared of the intimidating coach as she circled him.
"You think you got the nerves to be a Wondercolt?" Spitfire asked again
"I dunno." Spike said with worry and fright at the intimidating coach
"Well since you apparently think you have the guts to be with us. How about I give you a little warm-up." Spitfire said confidently
She then blew her whistle and the students began to get ready near the back of the court. Spike only readied himself as Spitfire said
"3....2.....1........GO!!!!"
She blew her whistle and the class began to run the laps from back to forth. Rainbow Dash was running with ease and quick efficiency, while Spike began to catch up. As he did, Rainbow Dash said
"Ha! Nice try shorty! But there's a reason I'm number one!"
Spike, however ignored her and at the same time began to feel his chest pulsate red and he sped up slowly and even past both Rainbow Dash and Soarin. As Spike ran, he was head-to-head with Rainbow Dash and felt his left eye turn red on the retina and black on his sclera.
"Whoa, look at him go!" Sci-Twi said surprised
After a few seconds, Spike stopped running after a few 2 more laps with Rainbow Dash and his left eye returned to normal. The students only looked at him surprised as they both breathed in exhaustion, Spitfire said to both.
"Whoa newbie! You managed to run 2 laps in a few minutes and catch up with Rainbow Dash! That's a new record!"
Spike only gave a look of exhausted relief and held his chest a bit as the pulsating went away. Spike then went over to Rainbow Dash and said with an complimenting yet exhausted tone.
"Wow, you are fast."
"Thanks for the compliment kid. You weren't so bad yourself." Rainbow Dash acknowledged.
As Spike slowly got up, he saw the students give him looks of surprise and shock.
"How did he do that?" One student asked
"Whatever he did, it was cool!" Another student said
As Spike walked, the girls went over to him concerned
"Spike? Are you ok?!" Sunset asked.
"Yeah...I'm good." Spike said reassuringly.
As Spike regained his strength, the girls continued the class, from using weights to climbing ropes. Spike continued, with amulet aiding him and fueling his determination to continue. The class eventually ended when the bell rang, with Spike about to walk out, until Coach Spitfire said
"Hey newbie! Got a minute?"
Spike turned over and went over to Coach Spitfire and said "What's the matter Coach?"
"I gotta say, no other student has managed to show that much speed. After this, you may want to consider joining a sports team."
Spike was only baffled at her words as she spoke.
"Think carefully."
With that, Spitfire left the gym for Spike to ponder her words.
(In Equestria)
Twilight was in a meeting with both the girls and Thorax, Ember along with a few other species such as the Yaks and Griffons. Unfortunately, none of them looked too happy.
"Alright Princess, what do you want?" Ember asked
"Well, I'm here to announce that the Friendship Festival is coming soon and I was wondering if amy of you would like to join." Twilight asked meekly.
The sour looks each ambassador gave her only got more worse as Thorax angrily said in disgust.
"Even after what you did with Spike and his future self? Notably SPIKE?! Forget it!"
"Thorax, wait we-" Rainbow Dash tried to say, but Ember further cut her off.
"Thorax is right, why should help you jerks when you violate your own principles amd don't know it?"
"Yak also want to know why pony Princess not take care of friendship with little dragon!" The Yak (Prince Rutherford) pointed out
"And act as if we were the ones at fault when it was your own teachings we followed! Not to mention the ones that caused that evil Spike to be created in the first place!" Gilda said in disgust
Twilight and the girls gulped as they saw the distaste each of the other species had. After Dark Spike's previous fight with them and Spike, he had managed to expose Twilight and her friends treatment of him as well as the way they caused his existence. He may have been beaten, but he brought Twilight and her friends down low doing it.
"Look, We understand that we hurt Spike and in a way you guys alot, but we never meant to treat him that way." Applejack tried to explain.
Thorax, not having any of it, spitefully replied "Oh really, then what were those glares you gave me back then? When I was different before leading the Changeling Kingdom?"
"Or when you kept tampering with our dragon eggs and took Spike's egg!, you didn't care about them or him! You just wanted to use us! Enslave us even!" Ember said accusingly
"I get that pulling pranks is fun, but compared to me, what you did was borderline illegal and beyond wrong Dash and Pinkie . A cold puddle and making him send numerous letters? You nearly killed him!" Gilda said in appalled disgust.
This only further deepened the point as Pinkie said meekly and timidly "So, is that a no?"
Thorax, fed up, said "Not even if I wasn't a royal now would I come."
"I'd rather rot in a grave then be with you hypocrites." Ember added
The other species ambassadors agreed and left the castle in disgust. The girls were left dismayed at the meeting as Rarity said
"Well, that certainly was a bust."
"I guess we have not many guests coming." Pinkie said
"I wish I could just apologize to him and make things right." Twilight said in grief.
"We all do Twi." Applejack said, rubbing Twilight's back
"One day, I hope we'll find poor Spikey-Wikey." Rarity said sadly
"And then we can make it up to him." Raimbow Dash said in depression
The girls and Starlight nodded, unaware a dark figure was watching them......but he soon disappeared in a shadowy flash.

Personally, I DON'T think Dark Spike gets a redemption. I mean, the original Dark Danny didn't get one, what makes this so different? Besides, the Mane Six DOESN'T have anything to change his or even the original Spike's minds on this.
IF the Mane Six themselves don't EARN forgiveness themselves, how the heck can they change Dark Spike's!?

Yep and they still think they can use the same method to solve this one. They need to find a way to show everyone that they have changed their ways and then maybe they will get back the respect they lost. Spike though might need the rainbooms more than he realizes.
And even IF there is a highly ridiculous, and possibly unrealistic half-assed chance that Dark Spike might change.
It DOESN'T reverse or erase all the deaths, destruction, and atrocities that he did in his future timeline. This ain't Dragon Ball Z/Super/GT.
( Even though those future selves DID had it coming, in my opinion. By constantly poking a bear, or dragon in this case. You EXPECT to get Burned. )

I wouldn't be much surprised later on, that they actually broke off their "alliance" with the ponies completely. I mean, they are rightfully pissed, then this seems like a reasonable response as karma to the ponies.
This will give the mane six and celestia of another huge reality check that they really f***** up big time!
