They are SUPER NAIVE! They will regret underestimating Adolf Hitler, and his Nazi Party/Nazi Germany . And when WW2 finally happened. They will definitely regret it, and be horrific on Hitler's crudely against the world, and the poor Jews.
So, this is a WW2 Story? Cool! Just wait to see the tramitazed looks on the Ponies faces when they see what the Axis Powers ( Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and Imperial Japan. ), ( And sometimes Stalin and the Soviet Union) have done in WW2.
Plus, they should learn that our Race is Humanity, not exactly called "People".
10783940 I know, it is all in the plan. There is a shit ton of...well...historical shit that I need to figure out and fit into the story as I go. I changed the description a tad so it matches the story better.
10784101 I look things up as I go and fill in details before I publish. There is most likely a troll that is doing the dislikes, they just want attention and to read stories that have nothing but rainbows and sprinkles. Oh and of course unicorns that fart rainbows.
ironically, had the post ww1 naval treaties not stopped japan from building ships for a while, they would probably have had a large economic collapse and not been able to build the navy they did. as it was if you wanted to show ponies the worst naval engagements of ww2, the guadalcanal campaign was where the naval war was won and lost
10784871 Not really, Japan lost the naval war the minute the first bomb dropped. -US naval yards are mostly east coast -No practical way to invade mainland US -US Industry while not unlimited is not something Japan can compete with.
10785063 japan had the 2nd or 3rd largest fleet in the world and geographically the smallest area to secure. the us navy meanwhile was at reduced strength in the pacific for years as they had to divide resources between the european theater and disperse them across the pacific, it was not a foregone conclusion that japan could have locked the US out of much of their gains simply by taking, fortifying, and making it too expensive for the USN to take any territory back, now japan had other problems like a fierce split between army and navy branches, as well as abysmal convoy logistics, but their navy wasn't dead the minute they attacked pearl harbor. their plans never seriously included an invasion of the US to begin with, it was all about building a japanese empire in south east asia
as for british and Australian naval assets, well Australia had like 7 cruisers of various classes, a sea plane tender, and a few destroyers, nothing really that scared the japanese, and the Royal navy's own ships were pushed out of the region mostly by japan taking their ports, and a lot of ships were also transferred out of the region before 1941 to defend britain. oh and they lost their only pacific fleet carrier in 1941
yes japan would eventually loose, but only in a numbers game, its still up to the admirals and generals to make that a reality, fortunately the US had some of the best admirals and generals in the war with the likes of King, Halzey, Nimits, Lee, ect ect
what I was pointing out though was that the cost of building such a large navy was crippling japan in the interwar period, but by pausing ship building during the late 20s and early 30s they recovered enough to get it into their heads to try and take on the entire pacific, whereas maybe had they not stopped shipbuilding, they would have entered the 40s totally financially ruined and unable to actually start any war
Is this setting still in WW2, or in Modern Times in the 21 Century?
10783905
it is still in ww2 yes, hence the dates. What needs to be corrected?

You said "modern warfare"? So, I thought we will time skip to the 21 century?
10783931
oh, lol my bad. there ya go, all fixed :)

Well, Oversimplified or the YouTube Search for WW2 Explained link could help?

Yeah, it took me a long while to finally figure a place to start it. Is anything missing from the story that could help it improve?
Actually, it's west, east is Scandinavia or Germany ...
Oof, bet it was a pain to memorize the events. You going to have your hands full or your a history fanatic with no issues writing this story.
mmm, interesting...
Some people just want to watch the innocent burn.
10784361
Yeah! It's f***** up! And I bet that some of the Ponies want to have a long talk with Hitler or Stalin themselves for their evil crimes!
Also, who keeps giving out dislikes??!!
10784068
I was going off of a 1936 image on yahoo, my bad though. It's corrected.

Whatever you say, edgelord.

Gotta have rainbow farts, very important.

-US Industry while not unlimited is not something Japan can compete with.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9ag2x3CS9M is a good visual of why any single battle in the pacific only delayed/speed up the inevitable conclusion.
The war was also not just US V japan. The UK and Australians were also involved

You all are going to bust a gut when you see one of the minor characters' name in the next chapter.
The rewrite on the first chapter is out, now I will start on the next chapters and get em out as soon as possible.
