1.- I don't think Alphonse would be able to use his head when separated from his body.

2.- I also don't think the Elric would be so easy to convince to talk about their past, they always try to conceal it until they have no other choice and, even still, they rarely say all the details.

IDK, this reveal could have been saved for a more dramatic moment.

I hope they don’t go full on the backstory to the MLP cast. That’s a secret they are heavily burden by and I think it would make more sense for their character to simply say that they did this terrible type of alchemy and they want their bodies back, no need to go full on backstory, especially to foreign people form another kingdom.
