Instabought. I wonder if in this verse Chrysalis is the first queen, like in the comics. [which sadly make her the only queen] That would make the statement abaut the first queen hilarious...
Bet your shiny little behinds that I'll be looking forward to the next chapter!
7857243 Admittedly I have not read all of the comics, so I did not know Chrysalis was the 'first queen'. For the convenience of my readers, no Chrysalis is not the first queen.
7857323 The Fandom Changelings are more complex and varied than the Canon Changelings, so no need to try and apologize for it: in the 4 (arguably 5) Seasons set between Canterlot Wedding and Times They Are A Changeling/To Where And Back Again, there was quite literally nothing about either Chrysalis and the Changelings: with the only consensus being that Chrysalis was a Tactical Moron that was essentially shooting herself in the wings by attacking a peaceful nation to desperately gather food instead of approaching them from a position of refuge for a Humanitarian Effort to save them: with the opinion fluctuating between these two extremes in trying to explain around why Canterlot Wedding was or wasn't a bad episode. (Spoiler: it was a bad episode once we find out about Thorax in Season 7)
Before that, the Fandom came up with a plethora of creative and inventive ideas and headcanons as established norms for Changelings in-general: 1. Chrysalis' Hive wasn't the ONLY Changeling Hive. 2. Changelings are split into a multi-layered Caste System with each individual specifically bred to carry out a particular role: Drones are basic grunts/soldiers, Infiltrators (the Fan-Favorite Caste) go behind enemy lines to gather Love for the Hive, and Minders help in rearing new generations of Changeling Grubs and Nymphs. 3. Changelings have a Hive Mind that they use to relay information and directives to accomplish a particular task, just like actual insect colonies are theorized to possess. 4. Chrysalis' attack on Canterlot might have been an act of desperation not one of actual malice towards Ponies and/or Equestria.
I want more! I hope you will update soon. I can't wait to see what will happen
7856997 Chapter 1 is written and undergoing revision, 2 is on paper. so more soon
This has big potential.
Ok I'm hooked, the First Mother really blessed them drones that are taking care of Flurry
