Chapter Eleven:The Fall Formal

Fluttershy walked down the halls excitedly, the fall formal was today, but she didn't have a date, she secretly hoped that SOMEONE special she knew would ask her, but she seriously doubted it.She had avoided most of the boys at the school, she knew that they were going to ask her to be their date for the formal.

"Um,....Hi Fluttershy" said a shy voice

Fluttershy turned around, it was Discord

"Oh, hi Discord," she said smiling

"How are you?" he asked

"Fine, the fall formal is tonight, I'm so excited"

"WHAT? Is that today?" asked Discord in shock,

"I Know," said Fluttershy, feeling the same way

"Wow, well I hope you have a good time," he said smiling

"Thank You Discord, I hope you do too," she said smiling back, then they both laughed awkwardly, Rainbow Dash then walked up to Fluttershy out of almost nowhere.

"Hey Fluttershy, just a heads up, Rarity said she finished our dresses for the formal tonight"

"Hey Rainbow," said Discord

".......Discord" said Rainbow, who then stalked off, she went to the lockers where she met the rest of the girls, who were staring at a locker with a note

"What does it say?" asked Twilight, Sunset picked up the note and read out loud

Dear girls,
watch out for the sirens, Adagio plans on
taking over again, the others should be
fine, though, anyways, be careful of Adagio

the girls looked at each other

"The note must be from Sonata," said Pinkie

"Well, we need to thank her, the next time we see her," said Sunset,

"We need to tell Principal Celestia," said Rainbow

"Actually, I don't think that's a good idea, we don't want her and the students to panic, we can just take Adagio out, and everything will be fine" said Sunset, the others nodded

"What about Discord?" asked rainbow

"He doesn't seem so bad, and besides, he's with Fluttershy, and in the other world, she reformed him, so I don't think we need to worry about him," said Twilight

Rainbow sighed "Okay"

suddenly, three girls bumped into the group of girls, not surprisingly, they were the sirens

"Hey, watch where your going" snarled Adagio "I mean,.....sorry," she said, trying to hide her cover, she and the girls walked away, however, Aria surprisingly looked back at them, then turned around and followed Adagio and Sonata, who waved at Pinkie, Pinkie waved back.

"We need to keep an eye on them, the note could be a trick" said Twilight, the others nodded

meanwhile, Discord was still talking to Fluttershy

"So Fluttershy,.....I wanted to ask you something" said Discord rubbing the back of his neck

"What is it?" asked Fluttershy

"Do you want to,......um,......maybe,...be my date for the formal?" he squeaked the last part

Fluttershy at first said nothing, then she smiled "I'd love to"

"REALLY?" asked Discord in a high squeaky voice, then he cleared his throat

"I-I mean, great, I'll be looking forward to it," he said trying to smile

"M-Me too,......see you then," she said blushing, she then walked off, once she was gone Discord walked calmly home, once he closed the door, he went wild

"YES, SHE SAID YES, WHAHAHAHOO" he then started dancing "I've got a date with Fluttershy, I've got a date with Fluttershy" he chanted, excitedly

Fluttershy sighed as she entered her home, she then fed Angel and collapsed on the couch, her feelings have been just too confusing, why did Discord make her feel this way?It was so irritating for her, all she wanted was a normal relationship with Discord,....but she couldn't because, well she didn't exactly know.

"Could it be that,....." She thought to herself "I actually,....?" she sighed and got up, going on her way to Rarity's

Discord stood outside Rarity's door, it was where he was supposed to pick her up, he had on a black tux, a bowtie and cufflinks included, he had a bouquet of red roses in his hands, he knocked on the door.

"One-moment dear" chimed Rarity, a minute later, the girls walked out, the dresses were lovely, Discord rolled his eyes, he hated formal clothing, then he saw Fluttershy, his jaw dropped, she was wearing a long, one shoulder strap dress, with a blue butterfly pattern, her hair was curled, she had blue high heels and a fake blue butterfly hairclip in her hair, she looked magnificent.

"Hi Discord," she said

Discord then kicked himself and said "Evening dearest, you look lovely"

Fluttershy went slightly pink "Thank you,....you look nice too"

Discord smiled and held out his bouquet, "To my dearest Fluttershy" he said smiling

Fluttershy took the bouquet "Thank you" she said, she then put the flowers in a vase and placed it next to Rarity's door "I'll come back for it later" she said smiling,

Discord held out an arm "Should we be on our way?" Fluttershy nodded and took his arm

Fluttershy and Discord soon were at the dance, as they walked in, most of the guys glared at Discord, he couldn't help but smirk, luckily Fluttershy didn't notice.

"Hey Flutters," Said rainbow smiling at Fluttershy

"Hi rainbow, hi girls," said Fluttershy smiling

"I was just gonna go get some punch, wanna join?" asked Rainbow

"No thanks, I'll just stay here" she replied smiling at Discord

Rainbow shrugged "It's your loss" she then walked to the punch table.

Fluttershy looked at Discord, he looked back, he wanted to ask her something,

"Do you want to dance?" he blurted out, he braced himself for humiliation

"Sure," she said

"Great," he said standing up and walking to the dance floor, Discord took Fluttershy's right hand in his left, and wrapped his other arm around her waist, Fluttershy grasped his right arm, the one he had around his waist, they started to slowly dance, Pinkie watched from afar and gasped dramatically, she zoomed over to the D.J

"My friend, this emergency is as serious as a Pinkie Pie-is-out-of-cupcakes emergency!!!We need slow dance music STAT, PLEASE TELL ME YOU BROUGHT SOMETHING!!!' she said the last part frantically, the D.J looked in her case for such a record, then she pulled something out and showed it to pinkie pie, who smiled enormously

"PERFECT," she said in a sing-song voice "Pop that puppy in and put the needle on the record, thanks a lot" she whispered the last part while handing the D.J a dollar, the D.J smiled and put the dollar in her pocket, she then started the music while Pinkie Pie grabbed a mic and oohed softly, then she started singing

"There you see her
Sitting there across the way
She don't got a lot to say
But there's something about her"

everyone looked up at her

"What's going on?" whispered Rainbow, the others shrugged

"And you don't know why
But you're dying to try
You wanna kiss girl"

Fluttershy and Discord went a bright red but tried to continue dancing

"Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
It's possible she wants you too
There's one way to ask her"

Pinkie started floating in the air, with a pink luminescent glow around her, her hair got longer, and she sprouted pony ears, Discord nervously looked at Fluttershy

"It don't take a word, not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl, kiss the girl"

Pinkie started singing louder

"Sha la la la la la
My oh my
Looks like the boy's too shy
Ain't gonna kiss the girl

Ain't that sad
It's such a shame, too bad

Discord smiled at Fluttershy (Who was also smiling), he finally was starting to get into the music

"Now's your moment
dancing to this little tune,
Boy, you better do it soon
The time will be better
She don't say a word

Pinkie sang louder once more

"Sha la la la la la

Looks like the boy's too shy

Pinkie started singing softly

then she sang at the normal volume

Pinkie whispered the last three words, then the music got louder than before and she started singing:

"Sha la la la la la

everyone applauded, Discord looked down in surprise, Fluttershy had her head rested against his chest, he blushed a bright crimson, he never had her this close to him before, he slowly brush his hand against her cheek, it was so smooth and soft, he was tempted to reach for her hair, but he didn't, Fluttershy's eyes fluttered open, she realized she had her head against his chest, and quickly removed it.blushing in the process, Discord then grabbed her hands and lead her outside, little did they know that a pair of dangerous magenta eyes and a pair of grinding teeth, saw everything.

LOL XD I'm sorry, I know this belonged to Disney fanatic, but I couldn't resist putting it in there

And honestly, I don't know why I had Pinkie sing "kiss the girl" I guess it was just because of her wanting to be helpful to Discord to win Fluttershy's heart, and because of the fact that despite some of her rather silly songs, she is actually a GREAT singer, so I guess for me, it would only make sense.

BTW:Did anyone find a wreck it ralph reference in this chapter?
