This world is dangerous. I almost died as soon as I got here by means I don't understand, and it feels like its only going to get worse. At least this sword that saved my life will help even the odds.
9007624 Wasn't planning to have anything like that in the story. Conflict for the sake of conflict is boring. Conflict for the sake of storytelling is something entirely different.
EDIT: To clarify, all conflict in this story will have a reason, and a conclusion in one way or another.
Wow, that scene with Fluttershy actually understanding the need to take a life during the fight against the timberwolves was ... mature, especially since she would be one of the last ones to even think of that choice (even against predators). It seems like a conclusion she came to with a lot of thought/no jumping to the worse conclusion, thinking less about Liam, or jumping the gun about his chara- son of a bitch Applejack! You're doing it Nonameknight. Setting up conflict that could very easily make one of the ponies unrealistic/unlikable, but you seeming pretty aware of those cliches. Giving me enough faith that you'll be able to conclude the conflict with enough time to flush the story before either side becomes too extreme for the story to be considered decent quality. So yeah, great chapter! More character interaction, and a good indication for where parts of the story are heading.
9007624 I always felt that way about WH40 and alike. DIAA in that case is cased thst both sides are equslly horrible in choosimg methods to achieve thrir goals, even if conflict in that case isn't meaningless, it's still stressing on human psychology to see two dark sides and no hope.

Magic sword? You have my curiosity. I'll check it out later.

Thanks for giving my story a try! (in the future, but hey, who's really keeping track?)

"Conflict for the sake of conflict" and well said!

Don't worry. Conflict will be resolved in a peaceful manner, and Applejack's behavior will be explained later.

Fair enough. I've definitely met people with vastly different comfort zones.
