After killing his mentor and having an encounter with Paleblood the hunter is transported into Equestria and if forced to adapt to a world of talking ponies with no need of his skills.
Hey, I know I have been gone for some time and I'm really sorry about that. I'm going to try to stick to a schedule of one a month putting out a new chapter. I would really like to hear anyone's input as to their thoughts whenever I put out another chapter as it really helps me know to figure out what I'm doing right and what I need to work on, along with how well I'm pacing the story and explaining myself.
P.S. For anyone wanting to use any creatures I come up with just send me a PM and I can send you over all the notes I have on that species and feel free to change it up how you see fit (I sperg out hard when I am designing species as its always fun to come up with an environment and try to figure out what could evolve their or come up with an animal and try to figure out how it came to be that way). Also if anyone wants help designing a species im always willing to give some tips or a start point.
I can't help but wonder exactly what role Forrester is to have in the future; it's certainly shaping up to be something more than just a one-off with all the work you put into the classification.
Also always good fun to see Draxton mortifying the locals by acting like an aloof jackass. Though I'm still trying to figure out if his behavior is meant to reflect a guy who rarely had anyone to talk to, or if he's just acting like a video game character (rushing around everywhere, only speaking when spoken to and not a single iota more than is necessary). I guess I'll get the chance to find out.
9169880 you underestimate my levels of spergness. I have an entire 10-page word document detailing;
the EXACT wood composition of the injured timberwolf, down to the exact volume and weight of each species of wood that is used (and i mean species not just "oh its oak" no, its 10% black oak, 25% bur oak, 50% cherrybark oak, and 15% live oak because the area it lives in is comperable to only the eastern US) *note this is not its actual composition this is just the level is detail I go into. I will release the actual notes for it when the time comes in the next three chapters.
5-7 timberwolf species i will probably never use
ecological observations and characteristics/evolution for flora/fauna around the School of Unorthodox Magics
and similar notes as those on the school for creatures around the world that haven't been brought up in the show
to be honest i spent an entire day trying to figure out how Timberwolves should be classified scientifically and when I couldn't do that I just started from scratch. I even had decent names for the timberwolf species but because they were not scientific enough I just scraped them and spent an entire day looking up scientific names and conventions to find the proper words. I forgot to mention in the authors note but the reason I did that was because i was unlikely to bring them up in later chapters naturally and with enough description to paint a decent picture of them. I am the kind of guy that will develop entire nations and their exact environmental conditions to explain the reason an organism is the way it is and NEVER ACTUALLY USE THAT NATION IN THE STORY.
Uh what? A new chapter? Yes please.
