wow.
im not sure if i can even speek like a knight right now.
well, if u need me to go rescue him just let me know, but for now, i must go on my own adventure
... Huh, so magic poison, politely framing his self acclaimed friend, and handing said friend off to his enemies... Quesque is a piece of work. Also, edginess aside, I return from not having power due to ice, to this level of twisted occurrence. Any way, Ladarion needs to start going with his gut more.
6858655 That certainly is something, knocking you out of your antiquated airs. Also, no rescue required. L's a big boy, he should handle the consequences of his naivete himself.
6874551 Queseque is indeed a piece of work. As intelligent as he appears, the mindset that allowed him to commit such actions with but a hint of regret shows that maybe he's not the most stable of individuals at the moment. You're right, Ladarion should go with his gut more often... but isn't it his gut instinct that got him into this steadily worsening mess in the first place?
Damn...
Is this anthro?
Dammit martian I thought you were cool!
6882826 I'd label you a blasphemer for insinuating such a thing if I didn't feel so idiotic about making this mistake.
6875659 Yes it is, but when it tells you something might just save your life...
6892249 It could also end up ending your life. A double edged sword, instinct is, for while it may save animals, humans, as thinking, rationalizing creatures that are also possessed of baser instincts must balance out 'gut feelings' with logic. Quite the burden, I'd say.
As to why it's a double edged sword, while it allows us to make decisions that can save a life, be it our own or anothers', without second thought, it also is responsible for the tiny bit of insanity that sparks within us that tells us to get that extra bit of sleep in the morning, as though a few more minutes of rest will bring with them the needed energy to be fully alert for the day. Another example of instinct working against us is when we, say, look down a great height and feel ourselves being pulled forward toward the drop. Vertigo, it's called.
I won't pretend to be the most knowledgeable upon the subject of instinct, but in my opinion, with every benefit provided to us, there is a hidden detriment as well.
6894615 Or the little thoughts people get while driving up a mountain road, you know. "I could turn sharply left/right and kill every one with me." There is a word for that sort of thought, but I do not recall it. Also, if you claim you don't get that thought, you are either lying, or something is wrong with your brain chemistry.

I think the word you're looking for is homicidal thought. And what mentally stable individual doesn't have those sorts of thoughts from time to time?
6961720 Eh, life on Pony Planet ain't fair most of the time. Things could be going worse for Ladarion at the moment; he could have been a slave or cat food by this point.
