The Search for The Lost Human

Hector slept soundly in the bed that was loaned to him. The sun washed over him in light but he refused to get out of bed. He was exhausted and got little sleep that night and wanted to make up for it. Out of the corner of his mind, he could feel a pair of eyes staring him down, as if he was in a lab. He gulped down and slowly opened one eye, seeing a light green unicorn staring down at him with a wide smile.

Both of Hector’s eyes shot open and launched himself in the other direction of the creepy pony, falling off of the bed on the other side with a loud thud. Lyra flinched away at the sound of his fall, and closed an eye. She leaned over the bed to try to see if he was ok.

“Ummm. . . . good morning?” Hector groaned and moaned as he slowly got up off the floor and raised himself so that he could glare over at her, pillows under his eyes.

“Yes, I have noticed it was morning, but where exactly is this 'good' you speak of?” Lyra smiled innocently embarrassed at him.

“Sorry, I was just excited that you were here, so I came over to wake you up, and. . . well I kinda. . . got distracted,”

“Distracted?!” Hector cried out, raising himself off the floor and back on his two feet. “Distracted? You were looking at me like a fan girl stares at her idol, or a scientist looks at an alien creature!” He leaned backwards, pressing his hands on his lower back, and popped and cracked his back all over. Lyra flinched again from the sounds from his back.

“Is that normal?” Hector looked over annoyed.

“No, it is not. Your bed is rough as hell on me. I hurt all over,” Lyra backed away, looking down at the ground with a depressed expression, her ears dropping down.

“Oh. . I’m sorry. I guess it wasn’t the best idea. I mean it’s comfy for me,” Hector go to his feet and gave his back one last bend, cracking it even further. Now that he was standing, Lyra saw his chest now. He didn’t wear his shirt like he did last night, he must have taken it off before he went to bed. Hector caught her staring at the muscles on his chest and stomach and he raised an eyebrow. He wasn't exactly buffed, but he always made sure to keep some muscle. He liked to stay toned, trying to stay fit.

“Take a picture, it will last longer,” Lyra snapped out of it and turned away.

“I’m sorry, it’s just all new to me. I’ve never seen a human before, and you don’t have a lot of hair on your chest, so I just found it kind of. . . odd,”

“Yeah, I also find talking horses who can fly and do magic kind of odd, but hey, I’m learning to adapt,” Lyra giggled at that, turning her head over. Hector was now looking for his shirt in the room, still half awake. She grabbed the shirt which was on the dresser and levitated it over to him. He saw his shirt floating in front of his face and grabbed it, the yellow aura disappearing.

“Thanks, that magic comes in handy,” Hector made his way out of the room, putting on his shirt. “Sleeping here sucks, food sucks, but if I were to put a bright side in all of this, at least-” He hit his head on the top of the door from while his shirt covered his face. He hit it with a loud THUD and fell backwards onto the floor, hitting the back of his head with another thud. Lyra rushed over to him and tried to help him up.

“Oh sweet Celestia, are you ok?!” Hector struggled to get his shirt off and with his angered attempt he ripped it. His face turned red with rage and he gritted his teeth, trying not to scream at the top of his lungs.

“Scratch that. . . there is no bright side!”

“Well at least you have me, right?” Lyra added in with a small smile, bringing him back on his feet. Hector sighed annoyed but he looked down at her with a smile.

“I suppose that is right. I’m not trying to do all of this all by myself. I at least have someone who is nice enough to try to help me in my time of need,” Lyra blushed humbly and smiled like a little school girl.

“Oh. . . it’s nothing. I would do this for anypony. It’s no trouble at all”

“Well then you are a very kind and- hey wait a second, what did you say?” Lyra looked up at him innocently confused.

“Say what?”

“What you said after I said I have someone to help me in my time of need?”

“Oh. . . it’s nothing?”

“No no no, after that,”

“It’s no trouble at all?”

“No no! Before that but after it’s nothing,” Lyra tilted her head for a second until she figured it out.

“Oh! I would do this for any pony!” Hector raised an eyebrow weirded out and puzzled.

“Say that again?”

“I would do this for anypony?”

“And one more time?” Lyra narrowed her eyebrows at him confused and puzzled at what he was doing, but played along anyway.

“Uhhhh. . . . ooooookaaayyyy. . . . I would do this for anypony?”

“There! Right there!” Hector shouted, startling Lyra in the process. “You just said anypony. . . don’t you mean anyBODY?” Lyra tilted her head at him with a bewildered and puzzled expression.

“Is that how you guys talk in your world?” Lyra asked with interest. Hector sighed in defeat, knowing he wouldn’t be able to get her to understand the error of her speech. He walked over to the kitchen and opened the fridge inside, wincing at the sight of it. “Geez, no bacon in the morning? Not the best way to start the day, but at least there is orange juice,” He turned back to look over to Lyra. “Mind if I pour myself a glass?”

“Sure, I just bought some more today. Would you like me to make you some breakfast?” The young man couldn’t help but smile at that. “Ahh, the taste of a woman’s cooking. Sounds pretty good to me,” He turned back and raised an eyebrow out her. “Well. . . . sort of,” Lyra cocked her head to the side confused.

“What do you mean by that?” Hector suddenly felt his cheeks go red for just a moment. The look of her head tilted just slightly to the left, the way her face showed the innocent confusion. Hector shook his head and looked away, looking in the cupboards for a cup.

“It-it’s nothing, just forget about it,” Suddenly a yellow aura engulfed the handle of one cupboard all the way to the right and it opened. From inside he saw a glass cup levitate over towards him with a yellow glow. It stopped right in front of him and he couldn’t help but smile at the cup and then smiled over at the owner of the sunlight like shine. Lyra stood there smiling cutely at him.

“Don’t worry about it, just have a seat, I’ll take good care of you,” Suddenly a voice echoed in his mind. It spoke to him as if speaking at the very end of a long, dark tunnel.

Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you,” Hector’s eyes opened up in surprise by the unknown voice. He was startled and confused by it, it hit him so strongly, but he couldn't figure out how or why. A tear leaked down from his right eye and it startled him as it trailed down his cheek. Lyra was walking past him and didn’t seem to notice as she pulled out a couple of pans and started grabbing ingredients from the fridge.

“Are you gonna stand there all day, or are you gonna sit down and relax?” Hector snapped back into the moment and he quickly whipped the tear away from his cheek.

“Yeah, sorry, I guess I'm still tired. I wish I had some coffee,” Lyra smiled to herself and turned towards the counter.

“One cup of coffee coming right up!” He turned just in time to see her levitate a bag of grounded coffee and a coffee pot to her side. He shook his head and turned back around. He walked through the opening of the open kitchen and sat down on the couch in the living room. If he looked over to her he could see her turning on the stove, cutting up some peppers and onions, and preparing his coffee all at the same time.

Hector looked away from the busy unicorn and took a peek out of the window. He could see small groups of ponies walking around, getting ready for the day. Some were wiping down counters of their small stalls, trying to get ready for business. Others were walking small groups of fillies and colts down the road. From the looks of it, it almost looked like they were trying to get to school, considering the time of day.

Hector leaned back in the couch and sighed, trying to imagine the voice that spoke in his head not a moment ago. “I feel like I know the voice, but it sounds too. . . . too. . . . too what?” The troubled man whispered to himself in distress. “What exactly am I forgetting? How did I get here? I remember coming home from. . . . from. . . from where? Where did the path start? Work, right?” Hector grunted quietly with frustration and scratched his scalp roughly.

“I swear I’m missing details here. I was driving on the road. . . Snow, there was snow on the ground. . . it. . . it was snowing. Why did I crash? That doesn’t sound like me,” There was an aroma in the air that distracted Hector from his thoughts. He sniffed the air a bit and turned towards the kitchen. Lyra was making some pancakes and what looked to be an omelet. He forgot about what he was thinking and focused on the food being prepared for him by Lyra.

The sea green unicorn flipped the flapjacks into the air with the frying pan and caught them almost perfectly back into the pan. Hector watched for a moment, staring at her with amazement. Lyra caught a glance at him staring at her and she blushed and returned her focus back onto the food she was preparing.

“Oh sweet Celestia! He is watching me! Alright, Lyra, let’s do this,” Lyra whispered quickly and quietly to herself in girlish squeals. With a confident smile she flipped a pancake into the air, and the omelet at the same time, spun around, grabbed three different, small containers that looked to be seasonings, and spun back around and caught the food at the exact same time, and the put a light coating of seasonings onto the omelet before repeating the process.

“Wow, the horse sure knows how to cook, alright. Her and my mother would get along famously,” Lyra heard this and her thoughts ran wild instantly. She imagined Hector guiding Lyra towards a large house with a hand placed gently onto her shoulder. He knocked onto the door and a woman opened the door that looked much like Hector. She smiled at their presence.

Oh my dear son, so good to see you, who is this lovely mare?” Hector smiled and looked down at Lyra with strong, loving eyes.

Mother, this is my girlfriend, Lyra Heartstrings,” Lyra squealed at the thought and flipped the pancake into the air in a fit of excitement, forgetting that the pancake was in the frying pan.

“Oh I just can’t wait to meet her!!!” She accidentally shouted out. Hector raised an eyebrow strangely towards her. Lyra realized that she just shouted that out and her face turned beat red. Hector couldn’t help but chuckle a little at her embarrassment.

“Well, looks like you are excited to meet someone. Mind if I ask who?” Before Lyra could try to think of something to cover her sudden outburst, the pancake returned and landed on her head. Her horn poked right through the middle of it and the pancake covered her face completely. Hector tried to hide his laughter but failed rather quickly as he leaned back and started laughing loudly.

Lyra slowly pushed the pancake off of the front of her head just enough to catch a glance at him. She expected to be overwhelmed with embarrassment but she was quickly fooled. Seeing Hector laughing so care free and so happily for the first time since she has seen him. His laugh was very masculine and made her heart flutter a little knowing that she made him laugh. She couldn’t help but to smile herself. She closed her golden eyes and even started to laugh a little with him.

“Oh, oh I am. . . I’m sorry, that’s rude of me. Here, let me help. . . ya there,” Hector slowly got up from the couch and walked over to the giggling unicorn. As she finally opened her eyes, Hector was standing in front of her. He leaned down a bit and pulled off the pancake for her. “Looks like I might have to help you with the chores after all,”

“Come on, girls! He’s got to be around here somewhere!” Twilight called over. Her friends were right on her tail as they walked through town, looking for the mysteries creature that they lost sight of yesterday.

“Where in good heavens could he possibly be?!” Rarity questioned with slight annoyance trailing right behind her words. Applejack kept her eyes in the dark alleyways as if she would see a shadow pop out of no where.

“Well ah’ll be the first to say it, letting him run along by his lonesome might've been a bad idea,” Rainbow Dash landed right next to her with an annoyed look on her face.

“Well geez, what was your first clue?” Applejack rolled her eyes and ignored her. Twilight turned towards her with a look of concern.

“Any luck?” She asked with a bit of hope in her voice. Rainbow Dash turned to her now, her expression relaxing a bit to match her friend’s concerned look.

“Nothing, I can’t find him anywhere! I mean, he is by himself. How in the world is he THIS hard to find?! I’ve been asking the other pegasi and they haven’t seen him either,” Rainbow Dash looked away a bit weirded out. “And some of them thought I was going crazy,” Fluttershy walked up beside them with a look of fear mixed in with concern.

“Oh dear, I really do hope he is ok. Oh the poor, he’s in a world he doesn’t understand or know, all alone. He’s got no home, no food-” Her expression turned into dread and she turned to Twilight with almost pleading eyes. “What if his injuries were more severe than it looked and right now he is stuck somewhere, or worse? What if he is trapped somewhere, or what if he is shivering in the cold, having to sleep under a tree last night. All alone, the poor thing must be starving!” Twilight placed a pair of hooves on the fearful yellow pegasus to try to hold her steady and calm her down.

“Fluttershy, don’t worry, we’ll find him. He can’t be too far. He has to be somewhere in Ponyville,” Fluttershy took a few deep breaths and relaxed a little. Twilight slowly removed her hooves from her dear friend’s shoulders and placed them gently back onto the ground. Pinkie Pie hopped over from around the corner, smiling brightly as always with some blue frosting around her mouth.

“Hey girls! Any luck?”Applejack and Rarity shook their head. Twilight turned to Pinkie Pie with a more confident expression.

“Pinkie Pie, did you see anything?”

“Oh lot’s of things!! I saw Big Mac and Cheerilee talking at the market square. Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Applebloom were heading off to school, oh! I also saw Daisy and Octavia talking about how cute-” Twilight waved a hoof in front of the hyperactive pony’s face to get her attention.

“Pinkie! Focus! We are looking for that human that we met yesterday. Did you find him or any clues?” Pinkie Pie collect her thoughts and shook her head.

“Nope, nothing. I mean I did run into Lyra earlier. She had such a big smile on her face, and it made me smile even bigger! It was like-” Twilight cut her off right there.

“Not important right now, Pinkie. Alright girls, obviously we need to spread out and search the whole town. I didn’t think finding him would be so difficult. Aj, I need you to search Sweet Apple Acres. There is a good chance that he hasn’t eaten anything, so he may try to eat some of those apples,” The tan, cowgirl reared up with a determined smile.

"Ah’ll get right on it, sugar cube!” And with that she ran off towards her ranch.

“Rainbow Dash, you fly around and scan around the town. In case he isn’t in town, he couldn’t have made it far in his condition,” Rainbow Dash saluted to her, getting back up into the air.

“I’m on it, boss!” And with that, she zoomed towards the sky.

“Rarity, check the marketplace and the school area. He might think to try to learn about us from the shadows,” Rarity narrowed her eyes at her and nodded.

“You can count on me!” With one last quick glance at her friends, she ran down the road, further into town.

“And Fluttershy, check the borders of the Everfree forest. He may try to get away from all of the ponies. He might fear them, and you are our best chance to calm him down if that is the case. He might be really scared with his life changing so suddenly. I’m gonna check the library and write a letter to Princess Celestia to see if she can shed any light on this situation. She needs to know what is going on,”

“You can count on me, Twilight!” Fluttershy said sternly with a nod, putting on a determined look on her face right before she took off towards her cottage. Twilight turned to the final pony who was standing by her.

“And Pinkie Pie, I need you to ask around town to see if anyone has seen him. I doubt he would be walking around town but just in case, some pony must have seen something,”

“Okie dokie lokie! She said with a big, cheerful smile and she hopped back into town while Twilight ran for her tree house.

From ontop of a rooftop, right above the main six's meet up spot, a certain spirit of chaos watched from a big, comfy, red chair, a large bag of popcorn, and a pair of 3D glasses on his head, snickering.

"Oh how this is getting interesting! I never thought such a interesting day could ever occur! Too bad I missed the beginning credits. Oh I just can't wait! I'll give it. . . . hmmmmmm. . . . . three chapters before they find him, four before they realize that Lyra has been smuggling him this whole time," Discord looked over to the viewers and winked. "Shhhhh, it'll be our little secret, but I plan to have some serious fun with this!"

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Hector glanced around the corner like a spy, just barely showing enough of his face to peek around. He wore a devious smirk on his face as he watched the corner. “Alright, I don’t see anybody there,” He turned back towards the alleyway he came from, feeling good to see it empty. “And no one behind me. Coast is clear!”

Hector spun around the corner and ran. He got to the end of that alleyway and looked around to make sure he was still in the all clear. To his right he could see a white unicorn with well groomed hair sprinting away from him. To his right he could see the pink pony talking to some other ponies, what the topic was he did not know nor did he care.

Hector dashed across the road as fast as he could, but after the second step he felt pain shoot up his legs and across his back. “Ow! Still sore, I gotta suck it up though!” He continued to run till he was behind the stalls, turned left and kept running. After a few minutes he could see some trees in the distance once he left the town area. “Alright, maybe now I can go somewhere to relax and catching my bearings. I’ve always enjoyed a good walk through the woods,” He looked up just in time to see a light blue blur zip right over him and continued going towards town.

“Not sure what that was, but I don’t plan to stick around to find out! I’ll make a beeline straight for those woods!” Hector said to himself with determination in his voice. He ignored the pain, fearing to be caught if he were to slow down long enough. After a short while later, he started to slow his pace as the town had disappeared from sight with the twists, turns, and hills he had passed to get there. He stopped to catch his breath, turning back behind him to make sure he wasn’t being followed.

“Good, I should be good now. No sign of civilization anymore,” Hector smiled to himself as he hunched over to gather air into his lungs, sweat running down his face in small droplets. He stood back up straight, cracking his back in the process. “Well, now I can relax a bit,” He turned around just in time to see a yellow pegasus with light pink hair, hovering a few feet from the ground, looking over towards the forest, scanning the land. “Oh crap!” He said a little too loudly. The flying pony’s ears perked up as he said that and turned to him, their eyes locked on. A smile spread across her face.

“There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you!” Hector panicked and gathered his remaining strength to run as fast as he could towards the forest. The pegasus saw where he was darting for and her smile disappeared instantly and fear took it’s place. “No! Don’t run in there!” Hector ignored her as he ran into the woods, pushing aside bushes and low hanging branches. He could hear the ponies cries but he could no longer understand them. She said something about something being free, or something along those lines, but he didn’t pay attention to it.

Hector continued to run through the woods until he couldn’t hear her voice anymore. He slowed down to a quick walk and then finally stopped. He grunted in pain as it felt like his legs were about to burst open, and his head started hurting really bad. “Damn it! Ahhh, this hurts a lot. I wonder how far I made it in here,” He looked up and he could just barely see the sunlight peeking through the top of the trees. “Well I’ll hide out in here for a bit. I should be safe until then,” He sighed and he leaned himself against a tree as he allowed his muscles to relax.

“Maybe I should have listened to Lyra before she left. Now this doesn’t seem like such a good idea, even though it was a bit fun in the beginning,”

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

“Alright, now I have somethings to do today, and I was planning on meeting up with Bon Bon to help her out with her shopping,” Lyra said as she was packing a saddle and levitating it to her side. Hector sighed and looked out at the window.

“Is that who you just can’t wait to meet? Is she your girlfriend or something?” Lyra sighed in agitation and glared over towards him.

“I don’t know why everypony thinks we are a couple! We are just good friends! We have been friends for years. I consider her a sister to me,” Hector chuckled a bit and glanced over to her without turning his head.

“I’m guessing you get that alot then?” Lyra rolled her eyes annoyed.

“More than you could ever know,”

“Well, have fun then,” Lyra nodded and started walking out of the door but stopped right in front of it and turned to him.

“Oh, and Hector, please stay here. Judging from the way you keep looking out of the window, you want to go out, but it’s just not the right time, alright? I’ll be back before dinner. There is some apples in the fridge if you get hungry,” Hector smirked and looked away from her.

“Yes, MOM!” He said sarcastically back at her, putting a hand under his chin to lean on, hiding a grin on his face. Lyra giggled at that and opened the door and closed it behind her as she walked out. As soon as the door was closed he turned towards the door, and then looked out of the window. He watched her walk down the road, smiling to herself with a big smile.

“She is a strange one. Well, if she thinks that I am gonna stay cooped up in here, then she has another thing coming!” He got up quickly and walked over to the bedroom to fetch his shoes. “The best way to relieve soreness is by walking it out and working the soreness out,” He didn't think much about it as he left the room, but as he did, he hit his head on the door frame again. "God damn these talking horses and thier low door frames!!"

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Hector chuckled as he thought back to it, shaking his head. “Well it looks like I’m not getting exactly what I wanted out of this. Well crap,” He heard some twigs snap behind him and he spun around the tree to take a look. He scanned the brush line but couldn’t see anything or hear anything else. “It’s nothing. Geez Hector, you’re scaring yourself,” He turned back around and sighed. “This town is gonna drive me crazy!” He shouted to himself.

Hector heard another sound of twigs snapping, followed shortly by the sound of the brush moving. The sound didn’t come from behind him, it came from in front of him. Hector scanned the bushes carefully, this time slowing his breath to hear better, but he couldn’t hear anything. “Yup, it’s official, I’m crazy now,” He turned to his right and he got full sight of the yellow pegasus from before, just a foot away from his face.

“I found you!!” Hector jumped back in alarm and slammed his back into another tree, earning him a short cry of pain. The levitating pony gasped and brought her front hooves to cover her mouth. “oh no, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you,” Hector gasped for air, filling his lungs with the now precious resource.

“Oh my god! It’s just you! You scared the living daylights out of me!” The pegasus softly landed onto the forest floor and took a few careful steps towards him.

“Oh, you poor thing! I didn’t mean to scare you. I was just so excited to finally find you! I’ve been so worried about you!” Hector sighed in annoyance as he slowly lifted himself off from the tree.

“I’m fine! I told you crazy horses that I can take care of- AGHH!” He fell down onto his knees, his face scrunching up with agony. He looked at his knee and could see blood running down from them. It looked like there was stitches in his legs and they came apart, opening a long cut on each of his legs. “When did I-”

Fluttershy rushed over to him and held onto his side. “Oh my! You’re hurt. Come on, let me bring you back to my cottage and I can help you,” Hector narrowed his eyes at her, but it did not phase her. She reached out to help him up but he pushed her hoof aside.

“I got it! I did this to myself, I can fix myself up! I guess I’ve already did it before,” He inhaled deeply through his nose and immediately covered it with his hand. “Oh my god! What on earth is that stench?!” Fluttershy sniffed the air and dreadful fear washed over her. She grabbed onto his arm and started pulling him.

“We need to get out of here, now! The Everfree Forest is a very dangerous place! We have to get out of here before they get here,” Hector pulled his arm free from her grasp roughly.

“Whoa whoa whoa, what are you talking about? Who is they?” Hector heard the brushes moving right behind him. He slowly turned to see a pair of light green eyes glowing back at him. “Oh. . . that?” Slowly more eyes started appearing from the darkness of the brush. Fluttershy grabbed a hold of his arm once more and started flying as fast as she could, practically dragging him along. Hector kept his eyes back as they ran to see a pack of wolves charging out to them. The strange thing, though, was it looked as if they were made completely out of wood.

“What the hell?!” Hector shouted loudly in panic. He tore his eyes away from them and kept his eyes up front. “What the freaking hell are those things?! Why does nothing make sense in this world?!?!” Fluttershy glanced over for just a moment and her eyes opened wide in shock and started flying faster.

“Just run!!” She yelled surprisingly loud. Hector actually closed his mouth and listened. He made it a little farther before the pain in his legs overcame the fear he was just introduced to. He shouted out in pain and toppled over, rolling on the ground till he came to a sudden halt.

The yellow pegasus slowed herself to a stop and turned back for him but the wolves were already at him, snarling and growling at him. Hector slowly got back up, huffing and panting. He leaned up against a tree to try to ease the pain his legs were shooting up, staring straight at the six wooden wolfs that came to a halt before him.

“I can’t run anymore, and if I can’t run, I fight!” The scared pony shook her head at that quickly.

“No! Those are timber wolves! You can’t fight them, especially in your condition!” Hector couldn’t help but to chuckle at that.

“He he he he, timber wolves, that’s cute. The other word for timber is wood, and they are made out of wood, and they are shaped as wolves. That’s just cute,” The pegasus did not find it as humorous as he did and glared at him.

“That is not funny! They are very very dangerous animals!” Hector turned towards her with a half smile.

“That’s what your friends said about me, but do you know what the difference is between you and your friends?” Before she could say anything, the first timber wolf lunged for him. The flying yellow pony’s jaw dropped in horror and she started reaching out for him. Hector’s smirk never left his face as he spun on his foot and lunged a fist towards it. His fist connected with the timber wolve’s jaw and it shattered to pieces. “You’re friends were right!”

The timber wolf was launched towards the direction of the punch and in mid air, fell apart. Hector winced from the pain of using his leg like that, but still held his crooked smile at the sight of his opponent crumbling away to pieces. “Geez these things are easy. I’ll clean this mess up real quick!”

“No! Don’t do it! It’s not that easy!” Hector gave a small roar as another timber wolf dashed for him. He took two steps towards it and slammed an elbow down onto it’s head, and the monster crumbled away just like the other.

“You’re right, it’s even easier than that!” He took a stance of a martial art pose and held one fist up to his chest and the other lower towards his stomach. “It’s nothing fancy, I made it to my purple belt in Kempo Karate. A man has to learn how to defend himself,” The remaining four timber wolves snarled and growled at him as they all lunged at him at the same time. “Oh this is gonna hurt!”

Hector pivoted his right foot and landed an elbow against the cheek of the first one, with a half moon sweep he landed a knife ridge hand into the chest of the next. One was a mere inch away from tackling him and he ducked just in time to watch it soar over him and he stood straight up and uppercutted it right in it’s stomach and he spun around and roundhouse kicked the last. All of them fell onto the forest floor in pieces. Hector smiled victoriously as he shook his right hand, a small amount of blood forming at the knuckles. Discord watched from the top of the trees, almost shoveling popcorn into his mouth in excitement, partially hidden within the branches.

"Oh he does know how to put on a good show! I wonder how he will react when they put themselves back together!"

“Well now that was fun! Why are you so scared of those weaklings? Even YOU could have probably taken them!” The Pegasus backed away in fear, staring behind him.

“I was trying to tell you that you can’t beat them! You can’t just fight them off like-” Hector waved a hand at her.

“Yeah yeah, ohhh so scary. They scary wittle timber wolves might give us splinters,”

“No! If you knock them down, they come right back up!”

“As if! Come on now, you just watched me one hit every single one of those-” He heard a growl behind him that made him stop in mid sentence. He slowly turned around to look back to see one of them standing up without a scratch on it. The others he had just defeated were starting to come back up. Hector witnessed in horror as all of the pieces of wood and twigs started reforming back into their original selves again. Right before his eyes stood the timber wolves he had just knocked to pieces, now all snarling and growling at him.

“Get out of here! I’ll hold them off!” The pegasus landed onto the ground and did not move.

“I can’t just leave you here, I came in here to get you out, and that is exactly what I plan to do! We are leaving-” Hector glared cruelly back at her.

“I said get the freaking hell out of here!!!” He yelled loudly, his voice echoing through the woods. His supposed rescuer was taken back at his outburst. She spun around and ran, crying.

"Oh, I did not see that coming! He is quite brave. . . . or really stupid. Either way, I can tell that I am gonna be needing more popcorn! This one is quite the star!" Discord snickered from his hiding spot, his eyes never leaving the injured man.

Hector sighed and returned his focus towards the timber wolves. He watched as more light green eyes started forming within the bushes behind the monstrous pack. “I think I should have enough adrenaline pumping through me to hold them off for a while. Well, here goes everything!!” With a loud war cry, he ignored the pain the best he could as he charged head first towards the seemingly endless horde of immortal wolves, raising his fist up to make the first strike.

I got a message yesterday that said that they really missed this series and loved it so much (obviously longer than that, but I don't need to write all of the wonderful things he said :ajsmug: ) and it made me forget all of thing crap going on and made me remember why I started writing in the first place. I'm sorry to have been gone for so long, I don't know what will happen, but I'm back now! I'm back in the game! Your compliments, messages, and comments are my driving fuel, and for that I thank you all! I really hope you enjoyed this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. I hope to see you all in the future chapters ahead. Have a wonderful morning/day/evening! Bye bye for now, my friends! :pinkiehappy:
P.S Discord LOVES popcorn :rainbowlaugh: I just learned how to do that, so I think I will be using it now
