Smaug flew over the countryside with a question gnawing at his mind. Why did the tall pony take his deal? He knew the answer, to protect her subjects. Yet the fact she made a deal with him confused him to no end. He was seen as a violent and cunning creature of the skies, an image that tall pony saw quite extensively. Yet here he was soaring through the sky with nothing harassing him.
"Damned pony! Did she curse me?! I am the greatest threat to her and yet she doesn't have that much concern about me!? I could burn this world, then would she despise me enough to know how wrong she was!" His words went unanswered as he flew through clouds. His eyes began to glow with rage as his mind ran rampet, jets of flames were unleashed harmlessly into the air around his form. "I will show her the meaning of terror."
His mountain came into view, maybe with some rest he would be able to clear his mind. He landed as gracefully as a twenty ton dragon could on the rock face, his talons digging deeply into the stone. His climb was short as he slithered into his cave where he would have dreams of fire and death, the likes of which would have never been seen in this world.
"They threatened me, for that I do hope they know how to wage war. Let those insects come! I will rip them into pieces for the pleasure of a kill, then when the world holds it's breath I will allow you to burn ponies." Smaug cursed as his massive form sprawled about, sleep finally overtaking him.

Twilight watched the sky, searching for any sign of her former teacher. A few hours passed before any news came, as it turned out Celestia walked the survivors of the first encounter with Smaug to Ponyvile. They each had a vast difference to the townsfolk, the survivors had a very distant stare in their eyes as they were escorted to the hospital. What was worry for Celestia became concern about the dragon, he should've been tried for his actions.
"Celestia, what happened? Where did Smaug go?" Twilight asked her beloved mentor, who only stared at the survivors. "Will they be okay?"
"Twilight... some scars will never heal. Those ponies have witnessed terrible things, things I cam barely imagine myself." Celestia's voice seemed distant to all reality itself as she spoke quietly. "Please help them recover when they try to integrate back in society."
The multicolored mane dimmed and slowed as the solar diarch made her way to her sister, the aftermath began to set in.
The Ponyvile Palace wore it's battle scars proudly as if it were saying "A dragon couldn't break me, come at me world". The wall that was torn away was nothing more than rubble, drag marks on the other side had small amounts of blood dripping downwards. The damage was done.
Few ponies stayed to assure the Princess of Friendship that the community would help with the repairs when she needed then.
Twilight could only fear what the future the would hold.

Filthy plebians.

Because shooting a giant crossbow bolt on it's obvious boss battle weak point is so hard. Shit, even humans, who are supposed to be shitty in almost every fantasy setting (No idea why), killed him in 5 seconds.

I want that thing to bury its face in my vagina and breathe fire into it
4881843 Really now very few dragons compare to Smaug, he is in fact one of the most recognized fictional creatures ever. He is kickass.
This is from the dragon's entry in the LOTR wiki:
Backed by the comfortable knowledge that I have read, and right now have, the Silmarillion right behind me in my library, I can keep on with this, meet...Glarung!
Smaug is the leftovers from a bygone age, alright in his /own/ time, but among the dragons of old? He's baby food.

You are clearly basing your knowledge of Tolkien off the summer blockbusters you saw
4881940 no my good patron I have read the books and anything I could find info on the great Smaug, so I say that your logic is sound but wrong. One needs a black arrow to kill Smaug Equestria doesn't have any or know of them. Until Smaug remains proudly.
4881934 also the rest of the dragons are dead leaving Smaug left, and he is not to be taken lightly.

I've enjoyed sharing these facts with you si I leave a present

"No, my good patron. I have read the books and any info I could find on the great Smaug, so I say that while your logic is sound, it is wrong. One would need a black arrow to kill Smaug; Equestria neither has one nor knows of them, so for now, Smaug proudly remains."
Seriously, is it that hard to use basic English?
4881981 "Wow! A wild grammar Nazi has appeared!"
Better? :)
4881954
No, one does not need a black arrow to kill Smaug. It was simply a fancy ass dwarf forged arrow that was passed down from generation to generation, as a sense of shame and missed opportunity.
4881961
Theorized dearest laddy, we're not sure. And yes, not lightly, truly.
"Barrel-rider," -Smaug
4881954
Not really. The "black arrow" Bard uses to slay Smaug in The Hobbit isn't particularly special as an arrow--except that Bard's mentioned to have a particular fondness for it. Smaug's real weakness came from the bare unguarded patch he had in his chest. You might be thinking of the movie's conceptualization of "Black Arrows" which portrays them as like, huge mythic crossbow bolts that're the only thing nasty enough to slay Smaug.
The movie's version is probably cooler, but if you're sticking to the books, Smaug was slain by pretty mundane means. No special "black arrow" required. Just a regular arrow, in the right spot.
I thought (in my humor) of how to add sex in... him either finding a mate... doubt full on his size though.... or... the less wanted way... rape.
4882012 Well then I'll have to re check my sources, have a wonderful day.
4882028 Ya know, I never thought of that. Id be worried for whatever dragon Smaug wants lol
4882032
Your source being the two Hobbit movies lol
4882052 lol I'm in a good mood anyway! So have a wonderful day.
4882058
I love you too
4882099 Oh man, well thank you and maybe we could trade music interests one day. But until then I'm off to fight crime in my underwear!
4882039 I mean the only logical assumption is an elder dragon... but I am guessing Smaug would need to be in foreign lands... unless you write one staying in Equestria.
4882039 though funniest thing would be if he had never mated before so it made him uneasy.XD
4886057 that I know. And honestly not worried one bit
4881862 Hot
When do you plan on releasing the next chapter?
I hope some terrible thing their future holds for them!
Your going to continue it?
4882039 He'd just take her until he got bored and then either throw her away or kill her. Dragons in Middle-earth are exceptionally weird XD shame no pony has tried showering him with praise. Might get them a few more minutes.
He is not a subject of Equestria, so you couldn't put him on trial, anyway. Unless, of course, you decide to ignore your own laws you love so much.
