With how long it took for this update to come out, how many rewrites of this chapter have you done? I really like this story, but I hope updates are more frequent.
4177946 I stopped keeping track of rewrites at around four or five. I struggle with getting it to go smoothly. As it is, I felt this was still a bit jarring.
Truly an entertaining story. Plus with Fable Anniversary out, this story just goes great. Druidic Prince names, well there is Cernunnos. A Celtic forest god associated with the "stag in rut" forest protector and fertility god. I don't know if this is what your after but I hope, I helped.
I'm giving you a few names here: 1 - Malpighiales 2 - Vainflower 3 - Flower power 4 - Sparkleshit the green 5 - el sequoia del diablo 6 - Greenhorn the winged 7 - Weedleton the glorified.
I'd suggest you not use an alicorn. If done right, they can make excellent characters, however many people won't read past the word, "alicorn" and will auto-downvote. Even ignoring that, it is insanely difficult to justify why they have to be an alicorn, and why they even have to be a part of the plot at all. If you must go with something like this, go with a unicorn who has a deep affinity with plant life.
4179046 I'm not going for an affinity for it. I'm talking about a corrupt bastard with total control over it. That's why I'm going for an alicorn. ... Also, it'll let me drag the fight scene out a little more than I'd be able to otherwise.
4179608 how about everfree? like the forest that would be a reason to act all high and mighty if you control the most dangerous woods in equestria i took the name from this story
4179608 Alright, but with a deep enough affinity for plant life, one could sit in the middle of a forest and be capable of doing the exact same thing, making them exceedingly powerful, more than enough to make for a decent challenge.
4180232 it could make sense if his/her backstory was wanting revenge for taming the elements everfree the last true area of nature? im kinda making this up as i go
4180124 There are other reasons why I'm going for an alicorn, so, how about I just get around to the chapter, you can see how it turns out, and if you still think he'd be better as a unicorn, I'll change it, deal?
4180252 Honestly, I doubt that'd work, as anyone can find a way to nitpick a means by which a character shouldn't be an alicorn(which is why I suggested not to go with one in the first place, to avoid such nitpickery). I'd rather not do things that way, as I would wind up mentally nitpicking the chapter, coming out with at least one reason. That being said, go on, but tread carefully. It's all too easy to cross the line between balanced OC who happens to be an alicorn, and full Mary Sue.
Hmmm... Gaia? Very fitting. Something related with "real" gods, so we could familiarize with the character, it would be easier for readers to think of someone called Odin or Freyja or some other Artemis. You get what I mean?
Arrogant? Zeus. Or some other variation of his name, like Dzeus, which too was used.
Well, Gaia is generally a female, so how about Gaius? Or Terrus? High King Gaius Terrus, Master of Plants, Ruler of the Woodlands, Overlord of Botanicals, Emperor of Salads. That's a name only someone with a REALLY FUCKIN' BIG ego can tolerate.

Ditto.
Good.

4178114 I am inclined to agree, Machy. Also, don't molest my armor....
4178178 I was hoping for something just like that actually.
I'll wait and see if anyone else has suggestions, but yours I'll definately keep in mind.
4178206 Perhaps Sucellus, Celtic deity of agriculture and alcohol.

For a name I'd suggest Sobek, The Egyptian god of the river, warfare and fertility
In response to the name suggestions I'm gonna offer Gaia. Probably cliché but I honestly can't think of much else that fits with nature.
4178443 building upon that why not cernunnos? Celtic god of nature and fertility.
4178178 I think I just shat bricks cuz I suggested the same name....
4179046 I'm not going for an affinity for it. I'm talking about a corrupt bastard with total control over it.

4180021 a bit too obvious, that one.

4180239 It's kinda obvious that you're winging it.
No, I already have a general back-story planned.

4180812 Considering that I'm making this character for the expresss purpose of killing him, I'm pretty sure Mary Sue-ness is not a valid argument.
4180889
In that case, make sure he's a challenge. :D
Terrace would be a good name.
