The recent ep has certainly put some light upon changelings. Lots of bits of lore and abilities of changelings
-Changelings can emulate bipeds and inanimate objects
-Most changelings are born independent, and apparently no hive mind (so far)
-Apparently kindness and love makes them go feral, or at least drop their disguises for those with less control
-changelings, or at least the drones, are hatched from eggs in the nursery

Things are progressing quite nicely despite it being the second week of the semester. I've really gotten into the rewrites of HLW and i'm enjoying it. Okay, i'm not going to beat around the bush for this one.

Rewriting HLW is intimidating. Why? Because ignorance is bliss.

I've grown up as an author so much since I first published that fic that with all I now know makes it much more difficult and tedious to rewrite this thing. I need to get rid of the adverbs, fix comma storms, rework certain paragraphs, keep characters in check, don't let my own fantasies run rampant and wreck the story, etc. It's a mess.

GREAT NEW GUYS!! I finally finished revising the canon of HLW. Once i got past the latest chapter i wrote, it was smooth sailing from then on. I figure this fic might come out to 150k words at most. Who knows? But I will say that the ending is going to be fucking sweet. Now I just need to finish the actual rewrites and we'll be golden. Still trying to figure out how to let you know when i replace the chapters though.

I've finally finished the semester and i'm chilling at home with all the time to write... and i just can't seem to focus on it.

I've got a clopfic that's halfway done, a bunch of rewrites and planning for HLW and i need to work on my other stories. Every time I look at my documents, my mind just nopes the fuck out and steers me to steam. I really do want to write, but nothing seems to stick.

Anyone have advice for me?

A couple things have come to my attention upon writing the next chapter of HLW and have made me rather paranoid with it. Since I've only planned this entire story out rather recently, I realize I will have to deal with inconsistencies in the future. If I don't address them now, this fic will turn into some horrible fic written by a high-schooler (which it was). Namely, Chrysalis and Shining's personalities and other nuances and circumstances. Also reasoning and motives. Very important.

Hey guys, I've been on a hell of a writing spree and its not on any of my currently published stories.

Before you get mad, I just want to say that this will be a one-shot clopfic. It's an r63 ship that I've found myself shipping harder than the normal ship. Go figure.
