Lemon haves under the skin
That's all for now.
I actually have the next Dead by Dawn chapter written, but I'm dissatisfied with a few of the passages. I'm going to smash the keyboard for being a dumb slut pretty the chapter up tonight and post sometime tomorrow. There, I wrote it down, now I can't procrastinate by playing Spec Ops: The Line and crying. I do have a name for the chapter: Hush in the Library. Subtle, right?
Aha! A story post. Only I didn't write it. But I love how it's written.
The story is an OctaScratch fic plus some... other stuff. Some hawt stuff. Wow, am I bad at plugging stuff.
Listen, here's a link to the author's story list. And here is a peek at the story itself.
Poetic Justice glanced at the clock. These guys would be punctual, so she had a few minutes. She moved through the living room of her small apartment, pulling the armchair from it's place in front of the tv and leaving it in front of the door. She pulled the little folding table over and opened it up on the chair's left side. Scurrying to the kitchen, she came back with bottle of cider, lifted from a raid a few months back. No pony would miss it.
In horror, it's what you don't see that is far scarier than what you do.
I think this is true for the music as well.
I far prefer the slow, quiet tracks to the louder ones. Not to say I don't like loud musical stings, roaring guitars, and squealing choirs, but something soft and gentle unnerves me more. And if you want to make any soft and slow horror track scarier, just splice in footsteps.
Special thanks to whoever decided to use this song as the end credits music to Hitman: Agent 47. The movie, not the game.
Speaking of said movie:
As an adaption of the video game, it's a helluva lot more faithful than the... other one.
I want to write a story based in this song. I'd have to put myself through a few good atmospheric horror experiences first to get it right though.
I think I'll focus on making readers lose faith in morality before I start sleeping with a nightlight, though.
Trust me, you want to click that page break.
Hm, I want to browse Steam for contest bait, but I want to feel like I'm working on lesbian music horse story.
Perfect
(This blog is image heavy and random. Apologies.)
Fuck you, Steam. Cock tease.
Thanks for reminding me that Kindred Spirits on the Roof isn't getting a Steam release till next year. Harlot.
Is Yu-Gi-Oh a thing again? I keep seeing Yu-Gi-Oh fic popping up in the new stories feed. Also, can we just acknowledge that the GX theme has stupid lyrics. but great music.
I KNOW IT'S STUPID, SHUT UP
Just post any sort of music you think is good for atmosphere in a horror fiction.
Even ironic music.
Especially ironic music.
Yeah, kind of like that.
