Christmas is here once again, and what a year it's been. There probably isn't much I can say that hasn't already been said about the holiday. I hope you're all staying safe regardless of how you're choosing to celebrate the holiday season.

Today is Madeline Peter's birthday. She is the talented young woman who voiced Scootaloo across all nine seasons of FiM, though apparently sometime after Season 8 went into production she moved to L.A. not unlike a handful of Vancouver based talent before her. I mention this because for Seasons 8 and 9, Scootaloo had a singing double owing to the fact that it's more cost efficient to use one rather than have her record her part in the songs separately and splice it in later.
Today is Matt Hill's birthday, he is the talented man who voiced Soarin in the show. Interestingly, it's been confirmed that Soarin was based on Amy Keating Rogers' son (she wrote the episode where Soarin made his official on-screen debut). But Matt might be better known for voicing Ed in "Ed, Edd, n' Eddy" among other roles.
Today is Kelly Sheridan's birthday. She is the talented woman who was the voice of Starlight Glimmer beginning in the Season 5 premiere "The Cutie Map" originally aired as "Cutie Markless". It was a role she would not only reprise but ultimately take up as a major role within the show for Seasons 6-9. She was also the voice of characters like Sassy Saddles and Misty Fly, among others. And Kelly has had a rather prolific tenure as a Vancouver voice actress, providing the voice of Scarlett Witch
Today is Christmas, a day to celebrate and hope for the best as well as reflect on another year almost over. There's no denying that 2021 has been a huge disappointment for many. We all hoped the pandemic would be over by now and things could go back to some degree of normal. Instead, the pandemic rages on even with vaccinations, and supply chain issues and labor shortages seem to have all but brought the world to its knees.
September 14th was Kazumi Evans' birthday. She is the talented woman who primarily served as the singing double for Rarity across all nine seasons. She was also the singing double for Princess Luna, another Tabitha St. Germain voiced role, albeit only for the character's first time singing in "You'll Play Your Part". She also had a couple of roles throughout the show, most noticeably Moondancer and both the pony and human versions of Octavia.
Today we have not one but two birthdays to celebrate. The first is Andrea Libman, the talented woman who voiced Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy in the show, and was Fluttershy's singing voice (as well as Pinkie Pie's for a couple of songs when Shanon Chan-Kent was either not available or needed to rest her vocal chords). She was also the voice of Bon Bon beginning in "Slice of Life" and voiced numerous other background or side characters throughout the show. And the second birthday is for Chiara
Today (February 16) is Rebecca Shoichet's birthday. She is the talented woman who initially was just Twilight Sparkle's singing double, but she grew into her own by voicing Sunset Shimmer in the Equestria Girls franchise and Sugar Belle and Night Glider in FiM. Of course, she's had voice acting roles before then and seems likely to continue to get more.

Today is Michelle Creber's birthday. She is of course the talented young woman who voiced Apple Bloom across the show's nine seasons, and got a couple of small roles (including some of the background Wonderbolts) as well. She was also the singing voice for Sweetie Belle for the first three seasons of the show, but beginning with Season 4 that was no longer the case.
Happy birthday, Michelle. I wish you nothing but the best of luck wherever the future may take you.
Today is Lauren Faust's birthday. She is the talented woman to whom we owe the creation of FiM. If not for Hasbro's willingness to reach out to her, G4 as we know it today might very well have turned out radically different.
My Tax Policy? has officially reached 1K views.
While it's not the first story of mine to reach that many views (Old Mare Luna has that distinction despite not even being featured once), it's certainly something that a simple one-shot managed to go above and beyond my former magnum opus.
Granted, Old Mare Luna has 1.6K views as of this typing but My Tax Policy? has more likes than Old Mare Luna (84 for MTP while OML has 66) and less dislikes (OML has 12 while MTP has 5).
Although tomorrow (August 18th) is officially my birthday, starting tomorrow I will be on vacation until Monday and therefore will not be celebrating it right on the date. So this blog post is going up a little bit early. I'm officially turning 28, just two more years until I hit the big three o.
Today is Lauren Faust's birthday. Without her determination and resolve, G4 and FiM as we know it might not have come to exist. Hasbro approaching Lauren and giving her permission to pitch a show for the MLP franchise more in line with her wishes seems like a case of the stars alinging just right. Even if not necessarily everything Lauren wanted was for the best (like all of us she had her bad ideas along with her good ideas), and even if Lauren was frequently overruled on many of her desires
Today is Lauren Faust's birthday, she is the woman who created the show we all know and love, and also penned episodes of "The Powerpuff Girls" and "Foster's Home for Imaginery Friends" (which were created by her husband, Craig McCraken).

Today is Brian Drummond's birthday, he is the talented man who portrayed characters such as Mr. Carrot Cake, Filthy Rich, Double Diamond, Sea Breeze, Sheriff Silverstar, Ahuizotl and a variety of background ponies across FiM's nine seasons. What I find odd is that he didn't voice any characters in Season 8 of the show, but he returned for Season 9 so it can't be that DHX lost touch with him. Was Brian busy with other roles and couldn't be spared to record? Or could they just not think of any
Today is Christmas Day, a day of joy and wonder. For some, it is the day to remember the birth of Jesus Christ, born to save the world from sin and conquer death so that all might have eternal life. For others, it's just a day to be with loved ones: Friends or family, and a day to relax.
