Happy Birthday, Lauren Faust · 5:35pm Jul 26th, 2022

Today is Lauren Faust's birthday. She is the talented woman to whom we owe the creation of FiM. If not for Hasbro's willingness to reach out to her, G4 as we know it today might very well have turned out radically different.

Lauren is the wife of Craig McCracken, who is responsible for creating The Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Wander Over Yonder. And it was recently announced that all three would be getting reboots, albeit ones aimed at younger audiences. Lauren herself has written episodes on occasion, including both the original intended pilot for G4 when it was going to be called "Tales of Friendship" and the actual pilot in "Friendship is Magic".

Happy birthday, Lauren. I hope you and Craig continue to bring us many wonderful creations and works of art.

Wow! Happy B-Day, Mrs. Faust! Thanks for bringing such a great show into the world and reigniting people's love of MLP!

Hopefully, Craig's new PPG is better than the last reboot. The Foster's one will be one I'll be interested in seeing if it lives up to its predecessor, as I grew up on the show, watching new episodes on Friday nights as a kid.

Anyway, many happy returns 🥳!
