Art Showcase: Biollante redesign · 7:54pm Nov 8th, 2020

Biollante is a kaiju from the 1989 film Godzilla vs. Biollante. Created by Doctor Genshiro Shirigami, Biollante was conceived when the doctor's daughter Erika was killed during a terrorist attack on his laboratory while he was studying Godzilla cells. Grief-stricken, he spliced Erika's DNA with that of a rose and threw in bits of Godzilla's genome for good measure, hoping to create an immortal plant species that would carry on his

The Inevitability Clause · 10:23pm Sep 17th, 2020

Probably common knowledge by now, but I like to refer to it as the Inevitability Clause. It essentially goes like this:

If something is possible, somebody, somewhere, at some point in time, will attempt and/or accomplish it.

Have fun letting your mind wander. :)

Jurassic Dream · 1:15pm Nov 12th, 2020

I had a dream I went to Jurassic Park. It went about as well as you’d expect. First there was “ooh, ahh”, then later there was running and screaming. Lots and lots of it.

A few key points I remember:

-The park looked like it had been built and rendered in Jurassic World: Evolution.

...a brand new Archive of Our Own account.

Now of course I don't have anything on it yet, I literally only finished getting it up and running just this morning, but I at least have it now. Figured it'd be smart to get for general fanfic writing, and Lord knows I've long left that paltry little Fanfiction.net account in the dust years ago.

Random thoughts · 5:48pm Mar 3rd, 2021

A couple random fiction thoughts I had over the past few days.

In WALL-E, they never found another planet to settle on. Nowhere in WALL-E's universe is there another planet capable of supporting human life like Earth could. :twilightoops:

I have done it · 11:11am May 22nd, 2022

No, haven't finished the chapter yet, sorry. :P

No, actually what I've done is finally finish up four years of college education. As of yesterday, I have officially graduated.

:pinkiehappy:

So now that that pesky education stuff is done with, I can focus on doing more important things. Like actually finishing this chapter and getting Supermane back on track.

Oh, and figuring out what the heck I'm going to do next and all that.

Imagine being a person living on Europa · 11:16pm January 15th

Or rather, in Europa.

You live your whole life in water, between the firmament above and the firmament below. Your entire civilization has risen without once sparking a fire. You may not even know what light is; you might have other ways to see the world around you. Some days you wonder what might lie beyond the firmaments; perhaps there are other vast seas like your own, locked behind the walls of an infinite universe of solid stone and ice, and open liquid realms.

A funny story · 10:55pm Jul 31st, 2019

So earlier today, I made a comment on a video regarding the 2014 Godzilla movie, saying that at the time of it's release I really liked it, still do, but that I thought King of the Monsters was a massive improvement.

Somebody then replied to my comment, saying how despite his disagreements, he respects my opinion regardless of his own feelings on the movie, and is glad someone was able to find enjoyment in it.

I'm just kidding, here's what he actually wrote:

HAHAHAHAHA

The Never Ending Battle vs. the First Order; or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Appreciate the Sequel Trilogy · 1:38am Feb 13th, 2023

So, uh...the Star Wars sequels. Pretty hot button topic already. I'll admit to not being their biggest fan, but also not really their biggest detractor either. One of my critiques has been that the First Order ended up just being The Empire 2.0...but recently I did some thinking about them and even Palpatine's return in The Rise of Skywalker. And between the critiques that can be made about its overall handling, I think that there's actually a really good, and particularly resonant, lesson that

Interesting dream · 12:02pm Sep 28th, 2020

I had a dream last night that I was Clark Kent. Or at least a younger Clark Kent, still in his teens probably. There was some sort of Hogwarts-esque school for metahumans that I was attending, and I think I was trying to hide just how powerful I really was as Clark. But in this crazy dream universe The Seven from The Boys were real, because I very clearly remember Homelander at the initial welcoming ceremony, and every time I looked at him I got chills. In fact, that's why I was there,

Musings on Light and Dark, Good and Evil · 2:17am May 18th, 2021

Took a late night walk with some family members, and it reminded me of a discussion I had with them a month or so ago.

We have a habit of associating things like good and evil with light and dark. I don't think I need to elaborate on which is which. I think a large part of it has to do with our status as primarily diurnal creatures. Day and light are open and familiar to us; darkness, by contrast, limits our field of view, and leaves us more vulnerable to danger.
