Wikipedia Almighty describes Karma to Burn as a "desert/stoner rock" band with "an uncompromising, mainly instrumental sound".
Me? I have no idea what all that palaver means. What I do know is that it has some very pronounced acid-rock grooves that my co-workers and I enjoy listening to whilst loading up the lorries.
Hillbilly Casino is a glorious mix of country rock and rockabilly. Not quite country per se, but you can definitely hear how rockabilly genre influenced "modern" country. Regardless, it is almost breathlessly fast paced, upbeat, and excitedly energetic. Shades of Elvis Presley abound. This one comes courtesy of my coworkers on the production floor. Killing joke as been around for quite some time, spanning genres from post-punk (which I do not really care for) to industrial rock/metal (which I enjoy). Killing Joke apparently provided a major influence to other bands like Metallica, Sound Garden, and Nine Inch Nails. They are also what influenced me to start listening to more "heavy" music when I was young(er). I can thank my parents (my da specifically) for that. More on that below!
Johnny Flynn is a British folk Rock musician, another one of many I have not heard of until I stumbled across his works on Pandora. His music has an upbeat, cheerful quality to it that makes it a pleasure to listen to.
Nothing fancy here, just straight up, pure heavy metal that does what it says on the tin. These chaps have been around for quite some time, possibly longer than many people who may stumble across this this little blog post have been alive... It certainly has a "classic" metal feel with its driving guitars and pounding beat, and Mr. Dirkschneider's distinctive AC/DC-like vocals. More delightfully crunchy steampunk and industrial folk (!) courtesy of all 'round good guy/gal Cynewulf. These guys are pretty much the ur-example of steampunk music and the unofficial "spokesband" of the genre.

Electronic industrial style metal. Pure, plain and simple. Quite catchy with a strong beat and rhythm. Quite popular with many of our drivers at $WORK. Odds are if you live in *mumblemumble* county in Americaland, your postman (and women) are probably listening to this...

Electro Swing. Glorious, delicious electro swing. Imagine if you will a delicious mashup of Daft Punk and Django Reinheart. I dare you to listen to it without dancing or tapping your feet.

Significant Other introduced them to me. He and his fellow computer jockeys and byte wranglers like to listen to this sort of thing as they work. "Music to program to" he calls it. I certainly like it. It is some nice instrumental chill out music.
Not too much to say here.
Some more post-rock/post-metal goodness. This is a bit more on the melodic side, but is it still quite an enjoyable listen.
A bit of a guilty pleasure this one. Milky combines acoustic folk with a spot of electronic rhythm into a cheerfully light-hearted mix.

KONGOS are an alt-rock/hard-rock group from South Africa. They have a admittedly "standard" easy-listening alt-rock style with a dash of kwaito. What sets them apart and adds a bit of spice to their work is their use of accordion (like Jason Webley from earlier). Certainly gives them a distinct sound.
Something a bit more random and personal this time around.
A collection of some of various songs that give me chills whenever I listen to them. Many of these songs come bit and pieces that I have picked up from Significant Other. Various genres and styles and band represented here, and I enjoy them all.

Katzenjammer is a pop...folk(?)...rock(?) band hailing from Oslo, Norway. Their music has a nice, strong rhythm and playful feel that you cannot help by just crack a smile and tap your feet along
Significant other introduced me to this artist. They are mainly comprised of experimental pop and pop rock type music. The artist's name amuses me as an MLP fan and brings a wry smile to my face...

Pelican is a somewhat unique instrumental band/group, described as both "Post-Metal" (whatever that means) and "Instrumetal". I think Significant Other described them best with the succinct "easy listening metal" description. It feels a bit like a metal version of jazz (in a good way) what with their heavy, yet clear guitars and varying time signatures (Ohhh lookit SIG with all the poncey, hoity-toity phrases!)
Another round of absolutely brilliant mashups composed by the golden-eared Bill McClintock. Bill has such an incredible ear mixing and engineering the new tunes that if you were not familiar with the source songs, you would swear that those were "regular" songs.
