DEAD BODY REPORTED
*Hero, Melody, and Bezier appeared at the table*
“What?”
“What?”
“Venom’s dead inside security.
*The group looked at each other, before...*
“I think it was Bezzy!”
“Wait, why?!”
Bezier mumbled in annoyance to herself as she finally finished wiping off her glasses. They weren’t damaged, fortunately, but they had been covered in bat pony slobber.
“Er... what happened here?”
“Blight happened.”
“Who?”
“That bat pony that Sting found. Apparently she’s been chewing on everything for some reason. And she talks in third person, too. It’s crazy.”
Bezier sat in the donut shop, laying the side of her head against the table. She had recently heard of what had happened between Quantum and Pentagon. First Oculus dying and now this? Why couldn’t her best friend catch a break for once?
“Bezier...?”
Her ears perked when she heard that baritone voice. She furrowed her brow when she saw Pharynx standing behind her. “I’m not talking to you...” she mumbled.
“So, how have you been the past few days?”
“I dunno, honestly... it feels like I’ve been shot in the chest multiple times.”
“Huh?”
“Yeah. I’m not able to describe it properly, but... let’s say I also feel like I’ve been nothing but a punching bag.”
“...okay then.”
“...You wanna head to that restaurant we went to, like a month ago?”
“Pentagon, wanna know a secret?”
“...What?”
“I’m outside your house.”
”I... wait a second, what the fuck?!”
“Yeah. I am. Let’s see, who do I have with me? A bunch of guards.”
“Bull. You’re bluffing.”
“Some stallion guard is walking up to the door.”
“Now where did Pharynx put the acrylics?” Bezier muttered as she rummaged through the shelves. “I swear, if he left any of them wide open, I’m not gonna be paying for them this time.”
“Check the bottom shelf.”
“Okay, sure, let me just—” Bezier froze, blinking. That was not Pharynx. At all. “Wait a minute...”
Bezier walked through the hive hallways, looking for a good place to test out her new weapon, an assault rifle given to her by her fellow changeling, Hero. She thanked him greatly for the gift, but wasn’t so sure about the bright colors it had, specifically the hot pinks and bright yellows, with some green and blue thrown in the mix. Nonetheless, she appreciated the time and effort put into it, and she hoped that others would too...
However...
“I’m not as big of a fan of the new cafeteria menu as much as I am with the old one. We used to have a huge variety of proteins; steak, ribs, roasted ham, chicken, roasted deer, maybe some berries and apples. Now we have things like cake, cookies, salads, and other stuff. Though, I do really like the pasta they serve now. Probably because I’m a fan of almost any sort of pasta; spaghetti, elbow macaroni, rigatoni, bowtie... I will say that I’m more picky with the sauce than I am
I’m now starting to imagine that Bez and Hero have a brother-sister dynamic.
“Hey, boys, what’s taking you so—what the?” Bezier froze as soon as she saw the male changeling floating on his back in the vat of Sparkle-Cola. “...what’s Hero doing?”
“Nevermind that, Bezzy, just get him outta there.”
*seductively takes off glasses* “Wow... “
.//////. “...what?”
“You're really blurry.”
“So, Ramirez, you haven’t met Pharynx yet?”
“Honestly, no, I haven’t.”
“Ramirez is your name, eh? Heh, Dad told me about you a few times. Though I honestly expected you to be… taller.” *he snickered.*
“…Seriously?” -.-‘
“You’re certainly one to talk, Pharynx, considering how you’re at least a foot shorter than your own younger brother.”
It’s a reference sheet/color guide. I don’t think I did the best job at it—
Bezier grit her teeth as she walked outside the building, seating herself down on the sidewalk and folding her forelegs.
“Yeesh. Laser Tag didn’t go so well?”
“Not this time.”
Undead Bez looked over. “What happened? Were you the first one out again?”
“Mhm. And Griff won the game again.”
“That’s... nice?”
Pharynx’s throat ran dry as soon as he turned around to see who was standing behind him. Bezier’s jaw merely remained agape as soon as she saw the unicorn’s stone cold expression.
“Tempest... I... I...”
Her lips worked wordlessly, and her brow suddenly furrowed.
“Tempest, I-I’m sorry...”
She then firmly turned around and left the building.
“Tempest, wait! Please!”
“Please...”
Bezier waved at Pharynx as the two exited the donut shop and went separate ways.
Once again, she was still thinking about what he had said about her, and how Tempest overheard everything. Not only that, but she was staring at the shark tooth necklace that Steel had given her...
The changeling stopped as soon as something caught her eye. A few feet in front of her was a car, and on top of that car... was a pony. An unfamiliar stallion who appeared to be unconscious and bruised.
Bezier continuously stared out the window of the restaurant, trying to ignore the ramblings of her acquaintance, who... wasn’t really your average acquaintance, to say the least.
“So uh... why’d we even come here, anyway?”
“Look, it wasn’t supposed to be a ‘we’ thing,” Bezier replied. “I was intending on coming here by myself.”
“That’ll be fifteen bits for the milkshake, sir.”
Keith nodded, reaching into his bag and rummaging for the money. After a moment, he pulled out a few, putting them on the table. “I-I only have seven,” he said. I knew Sky’s been spending all my money again.
“That’s too bad, champ. Maybe—”
“Here. Use these.”
Eight more bits joined the pile. Keith stared in disbelief, turning to see a... changeling?
Bezier scurried behind a corner as the red eyed changeling trotted past her, through the hallways and stopping at one of the many doors lined along walls. She quietly watched knocked a few times. Within a few moments, it opened to reveal no one other than Snapdragon herself.
Oh, brother… Bezier thought as she began sweating heavily. If anything, these two were both capable of beating her into a pulp. She couldn’t bear having Snapdragon possibly tell Hivehunter about her.
“Yeah, I remember when I was head over hooves for Snapdragon back in the days. What about you guys?”
“Eh. Dunno about you two but there were quite a few ‘lings in the army that I had some form of attraction for.”
“Really now?”
“Mhm… heh, you were one of them, actually.”
“Heheh. I see. Bez, what about you?”
“Hm? Oh, me?”
