Well, today's the big day. The stem cell infusion should be starting within the next couple hours, and I'll be getting another dose of sleep-inducing pre-meds, so I doubt I'll actually be doing anything (other than sleeping, duh) DURING the infusion, which really should only take an hour or two.

Well, my second cycle of chemo is now complete, and I actually feel quite good, which means whatever cocktail they gave me seems to be doing its job. Since I'm feeling alright, I'm going to do my best to continue with my writing and editing, but I also want to get some stuff done around the house so it doesn't look like a bomb hit every time I come home.

So, I'm back at the hospital for the second round of this new chemo regimen. So far, they haven't even started me on the medication yet— just fluids. We'll see how things go when the meds start.

For anyone that may have seen my "What I'm Up To" box (or another blog or two from other users), you might have seen that I am currently in the hospital. I was admitted for a 103.5°F fever, which luckily is now going down, and I have begun a new chemotherapy regimen. However, because of the state I am in, I do not want to do any writing or editing for fear that either of them will not be up to my normal quality.

Well, I got my transcript evaluation back. Luckily, a lot of my teaching credits will transfer, but I still have a fair amount of work on my plate. When I get back from vacation, I'll have to talk with my new advisor and come up with a class schedule.

Ah, the semester is over. My Sign Language final exam was yesterday, and I think I did well. Pretty sure I'll nail at least a 90%. {Update for anyone who cares: 96.66% on my exam, and about 96.5% (without participation factored in, which I'm practically guaranteed to get full credit on if it does) for the whole semester!}

So while the last potential delay on Crimson turned out to be a false alarm, I have a feeling this one won't be. I discovered that releasing chapters on Friday seems to be a better time to get views than it is to release them on Saturday. This being said, I'm still in the process of writing chapter 25, none of it has been edited yet, and I have an ASL exam this Wednesday that I need to study for, so I doubt it'll be ready by then.

As the title says, there might be a possible delay in TCE's next chapter. While I'm usually about a chapter ahead of the chapter I publish, I'm still working on chapter 23 right now, and it will then need to be edited. Hopefully it'll be ready by next week, but no promises.

After noting in the last chapter I published that I was going on a temporary hiatus, I have since completed another chapter of TCE. However, I'm not quite ready to publish it. The reason I stopped where I did is because there is going to be some climactic stuff coming up soon (hopefully that isn't too spoiler-y), and I want to make sure I don't make any continuity errors. After I reach the point where I'll be confident there won't be any changes, I'll start publishing again.

Hey there, everyone.

So I just finished a little one-shot prequel to Through Crimson Eyes, Like Father, Like Son. It's quite a switch from the sad genre— it's more comedic, and kind of a "day-in-the-life" type story before the big C hits. One or two ideas from the prequel might pop up later, so if you enjoy TCE, hopefully you won't mind reading a little back story. It's pretty short.
