Hello, folks! I'm finally back with another movie review.
There've been a number of jokes, or video edits, tying in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer with Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla Minus One. Though this particular mashup is probably my favorite, for reaching all the way back to the original 1954 movie.
Well, it's been a while since I've done...well...anything on this site. Pony-fatigue is still running strong and my mind is catching up from several years of immersing myself in almost nothing but MLP (from a personal entertainment perspective). But now I'm back, fresh from the theater with a review of Shin Godzilla.

On this day in 1954, Godzilla made his official cinematic debut in Japanese theaters. An allegory for the threat of nuclear weapons and the horrors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings, Godzilla struck a massive chord with the people of Japan, and has been an enduring icon of monster movies ever since.

This movie is gonna be fantastic.
Wow. I had heard the praise for this movie, but having seen it for myself, yes, this really is one of those rare occasions where the movie in question does live up to its hype.
Gotta say, I'm getting some big Akira Ifukube vibes from Godzilla's theme here.
