What are you: A pre-reader. Naturally, I will point out all the grammatical mistakes I can find in your story, but don't trust me doing very good job on this. I suck at English grammar.
Experience?: Well, I do write a lot, and evaluate stuff, too, so I'd say I got me some experience, yes. I have plenty of opinions, at the very least, and it is up to you to decide the value of them.
Preferred tags: Sad, Tragedy, Dark. All the grim writers, come to me. But no comedies/slice of life fics, I have a terrible sense of humour. Clop is fine, too.

Experience: Well there's the reviewer stuff...and besides a few pre-reads and a proof read or two that's it. Well except that for a lot of people i'm their go-to guy for references from Youtube's Nerdcubed (Turn around- i don't need to becausemyfieldofviewisveryhigh!), to Firefly (two forks and a pencil sharpener indeed) to games like 'The Stanley Parable' i can remember and make references at will.

Tell us about yourself:: :Let's see... I'm an English Scholar. What does that mean? Well, I have a bachelor's degree in English. My main focus of study was Literature and creative writing. I've published one novel, written countless amounts of fan fiction, and written countless amounts of original fiction. I tend to be a bit anal about my spelling and grammar. That's actually helped more than hurt, but even I sometimes miss something.
I love to read other people's work, and while I enjoy a good dark story I do like reading a good comedy, and I've even found myself enjoying a decent romance once in a while. I will give advice on what could be used to make the story better, and I will most certainly give a good explanation about why I feel that would help.
How much experience do you have proofreading/pre-reading?: Good question! Well, in Creative Writing, Fiction Writing, Short stories, and Creative Writing Capstone I had to pre-read and proof read up to sixteen different people's material and examine a variety of different writing styles and story telling techniques. I made sure to offer all of the ideas I could while giving them the issues that needed to be addressed and what could be used to make the story stronger.
As for Fanfiction I've been a beta reader (basically the unholy offspring of a proof reader and prereader) for about ten years. I've mainly done it for the Justice League fandom.
Preferred tags: Another good one. Well, I like Slice of Life, Crossovers, Romance (small amounts of clop in the Romance is fine, but I'm not a huge fan of pure clop/porn), dark fics, and action stories.
Favorite form of communication? (Skype, PM, Email, Google Drive, Facebook, Etc...) Wow... a lot of good suggestions... I suppose I'm most comfortable with pure old email, I don't mind skype, but to be honest since I work days it would need to be evening, and even then I'm usually busy. It would be easiest to do email, facebook, Google drive/email with me. I will skype if you want to talk about a specific idea and want to verbally express it, but just saying it's something that I don't often do.

I also look at the story in a broader spectrum commending authors for clever writing and putting thought into how problems could be avoided or solved.

I have done all of these for University students and am more than willing to do so here as well. As a fair warning, all of these have usually been expected of me at the same time, to say nothing of grading, in my job so anything I am sent will have lower order (grammatical) and higher order (construction and flow) suggestions returned.

I am a CRLA Master Level tutor in English, work as a Teaching Assistant, and have nearly a decade of experience in helping others improve their wordsmithing.

I came into this show for it's light heartedness though I've read many a story with tender catharsis containing the SAD tag. Having fought, lived, and nearly died in a hell hole must of us in the First World couldn't even begin to imagine I find stories with the DARK tag to be... well... I don't wish to break the rules and speak freely as my invective might get me banned. Suffice it to say I won't do sad save for BitterSweet stories and unless I know you from other works I won't touch your GORE or DARK lest I say something we both regret. Comedy, Romance, and Slice of Life are my preferred stomping grounds; "Shipping" is a new term to me but the convergence of these three constitute my favorite stories.
Favorite form of communication: I prefer to be contacted by PM, from there collaboration can take place on this site or Google Docs. I don't give out my Skype lightly.

I like any story but don't enjoy HiE as much as you do, so I would honestly rather not. Human stories, yes. Ponies, yes. Ponies on Earth? Sure, I guess so. I also don't like clop for the sake of clop. It has to have a good plot running behind it to suit my taste.
On the other hoof, Comedy, Science Fiction, and anything with Changelings will really get me excited! I love fics that appeal to a funky sense of humor.
I also work on dark and deeply philosophical stories, even horror. No questions asked.
