Quality Stories

Any stories that meet a minimum standard of quality are accepted. Stories will be passed or failed with only the final verdict and a short explanation as feedback. Any story can be edited and resubmitted up to three times. The goal of this group is not to review stories in-depth, but to use their first few hundred to a thousand words as a litmus test to speedily determine the rough level of quality.

Neutral Discussion

Almost any discussion is welcome as long as it's stated in a non-provocative way. Ad hominem is strictly forbidden. Be nice.

What's to lose. I guess I can submit my current story that I am working on. It has been moving a bit slow on the main plot, but it hasn't been hated. Just no one is reading to give feedback.

Guess I'll throw one or two on here. I can always use feedback :twilightsheepish:

I've added my first three stories to the contest. I couldn't add the sequel because it's still in progress. I hope I get some positive feedback on my tales.

You're welcome. :) The warning message is pretty strangely worded.

Still, your story will be reviewed as objectively as I possibly can, and you'll get a few words of feedback that you'll hopefully find helpful.

Well. I just added three stories. My first novella Adventure epic, a sadfic I wrote for another, CANCELLED contest, and a shipfic.

I would love feedback, but I am sure to get marks off because I can't proofread worth a damn.

I can indeed. For future reference, you can remove a story you place into a folder by going into the folder and clicking the trash icon on your story.

I accidentally submitted Life Death and Rebirth can you get it out of the folder lol

420663
Nope! :scootangel: You can add as many as you want, though three or less is recommended.

Guessing based on the multiple submissions authors have already made, I think it's gonna be a no-limits submission.

Only problem with that would be the sheer lack of reviewers to handle the stories.

one fic per person correct?

420660
Nope! Incomplete fics are fine.

420659
ah ok thank you. side question...do are fics need to be complete?

420658
It's subjective, but a good rule of thumb is to ask yourself whether you'd be embarrassed to see your story in the local newspaper with your name on it, pretending that you're in a world where no one would judge you for writing MLP fanfics. If the answer is yes, it's probably going to fail.

Question: what are minimum standard of quality for this group?
