[Adult story embed hidden]

With the Mature-rated version of Five Score, Divided by Four getting actually published yesterday (a Teen-rated version was published back in 2013, with the Mature-rated version available but unpublished), it felt like a good time to announce my Five Score-style story that I'm planning to publish on July 27. You know, capitalize on the parent story being in the feature box.

It's been in the works for a while, but a combination of factors has delayed me repeatedly. July 27 will be the perfect day to release it, though, so I'm making the push to ensure that it's ready before then.

July 27, 2017 is the 20-year anniversary of the original air date for Children of the Gods, the pilot episode of Stargate SG-1.

Two Score, Minus Two or: A Stargate Tail is not canon Five Score. For one thing, it takes place in 2007 (the final season of SG-1), whereas Five Score takes place in 2020. I'm also re-using ponies that have already been used in the setting. But the story is based on the same basic premise, while also being a Stargate SG-1 crossover.

While I'm promoting a Stargate story, I should also mention that I am an editor for Stargate: Shangri-La. Shangri-La takes place after all of the various Stargate series, the Stargate video game, etc. and parallels Stargate Atlantis in that the SGC sends an expedition to an Ancient City-Ship in a distant galaxy. In this case, the "Concordia" galaxy, and the City-Ship Shangri-La is located under the ice near the Crystal Empire.

The conceit of Five Score is that at the end of the last season of MLP, Discord cursed a significant fraction of the ponies (and other races) to become human on Earth for 25 years (Five Score Divided by Four = 5 * 20 / 4 = 25), on top of screwing up their human lives. On their 25th birthday, the ponies-turned-human begin reverting to their original pony selves.

This story is similar, although obviously I'm not forcing every transforming human to be 25 years old, and it's an SG-1 crossover. Two Score Minus Two is the number of symbols on a Milky Way Stargate (excluding the point of origin symbol), and the number of minutes a gate can stay open under normal circumstances.

I originally had Rarity Reload in front of a screengrab from the show with the gate in the background. When I asked totallynotabrony for permission to use the composite image, he offered to make the cover art for me. Rarity's even got an SG-1 patch on her vest, now.

I love Shangri-La and all other SG pony stories here. I am also a huge fan of five score, and I am all giddy right now when I hear we'll get something with a bit of both.

You and all the other writers here on fimfic, and other artists in the pony fandom, are what make this community such a great place. Additionally all of you are responsible for so many sleepless nights (because I just had do read another chapter) and I love it. I can't wait to to read What you come up with, while cursing myself that I should sleep and that I have to get up early
