4818982 It makes excellent points, but it also didn't mention that when a Spartan makes a punch, the suits putting several hundred pounds of mass into it, thus, hitting an enemy in one of the Halo games is like hitting them with a car.

4818982 Its real flaw:

Though, take into account that you're being hit by OTHER Spartans wearing 1000 lb armour.... it must still take a fairly substantial amount of force.

An actual game theory video and not a video by the annoying people he gets to post videos on the channel?
Let alone one that isn't about FNaF and isn't blatantly advertising a mobile game?
About damn time.

4818982 Or maybe its the fact that another spartan is punching you?

The fatal flaw in that theory would be assuming that it's the severed connection, not the snapped neck, that kills the spartan.

What really determines the suit's potential for self destruction though would be it's design in the mechanisms that actually allow the AI to move it.
Also, shouldn't the AI have safety features that allow it take over in the event of a catastrophic connection loss?
Plus, if the suit's AI is what's predicting the movement and keeping them from toppling over crushed to death by the suit, why doesn't the AI just take over in the event of the wearer's death?

I see no reason at all for a MILITARY organization saying "Well, we've got these suits that cost more than a Pillar of Autumn Halcyon-class ship. We COULD make it so if the occupant dies (but the suit is still functional), the AI takes control of the suit and continues the mission (or retreats so as not to lose the suit itself if the mission isn't worth the loss)... Buuuut, what the hell, let's just leave it in the hands of a guy juiced up on super-roids since childhood!"

No government program would ever have neglected the possibility for their supersoldier ungodly expensive armor to double as an unmanned weapon should the operator die.
In fact, that would be one of it's most valuable benefits!

Picture this:
"Wort wort wort, I have slain the Spartan! My plasma sword is sticking out his ches-" CRUNCH!
AI kicks in taking over the suit and punched clean through the Elite's face (no longer having to worry about the bone crushing force exerted on the occupant inside), then proceeds to grab the super valuable mission critical object and run off to the nearest escape route.

Hell, even having that suit able to keep the spartan alive while he's knocked unconscious, or to continue to patrol and stand guard while he sleeps would be invaluable.

4819261 Let's not forget that he didn't leech off of Pewdiepie!

4818982 An episode questioning how a guy who can flip a tank is killed when punched by another guy who can flip a tank :ajbemused:
