What happened to the wraith known as Nightmare Moon? Was she destroyed by the Elements of Harmony and dissapeared forever? No, with what remained of her dark powers she transported herself to the human world known as Earth and took control, transforming all who opposed her into her personal guard and her army and plunges the earth into eternal darkness. Five years have passed and her student, a human boy by the name of Chase, has had it with her. Using what she has taught him he transports himself to Equestria in the hopes of aqcuiring the assistance of the elements of harmony and ending her reign of his world forever.

When Luna is assasinated Celestia calls out for the elements. A short while later a unicorn shows up and claims he knows how to get her back to life, but they have to go to Tartarus. The journey is long and dangerous. Will they ever manage to revive Luna? Or will the night be lost forever?
