I just posted the latest batch of MLO chapters to Subscribestar for my highest-paying followers, and it made me realize that I'm stuck. The Sonic Rainboom felt too much like going through the motions, which I'm afraid will kill my interest in writing this story. Further, I'm increasingly regretting making this story a sequel to someone else's thing since it means I'm stuck with all of their baggage, namely Fluttershy's bestiality.
So, as per usual, when I encounter such snags, I turn to my readers. Hopefully, enough of you follow these blogs so you see this and can share your ideas. And I'm open to anything. If it detracts radically from the episode with only a minimal connection to the original, that sounds even better. Having things be different might be exactly what I need. Also, I've been doing interludes between each episode, which show simple slice-of-life stuff, put the spotlight on less prominent characters, and just generally do stuff that doesn't quite fit within the episode chapters. So, ideas for those would also be appreciated.

Ok, first off, I am kicking myself for noticing that this story existed. Secondly, how long do I have to give my ideas for "A Dog and Pony Show: and Over a Barrel"?

Basically, reversing the roles in Dog and Pony Show, so Rarity is the one tied down, yet her lustful shrieks hurt their ears. I like how only Twilight is worried, playing on her social obliviousness. I also find it interesting how, despite Rarity looking like she's gone through a rough ordeal, there was a safe word the whole time, and she learns she's into being on the receiving end of rough play.
It's not too different from how things would logically go, given the episode and my past works with this story. There's an idea here, but this just isn't enough for me. The only thing of note is the twist that Rarity learns she's a switch, which could work. Hmm, I'll let the idea germinate and see what happens.

I think this would be the ideal episode to build on Fluttershy and maybe develop her element more than just beast but into something else. She still has to take care of the CMC and we get some hot kinky moments with them and her. But she start to see that her kink isn't about the animals. It is more about pleasing others and even more so those without anyone to care for them. She cares about the girls and put their needs over the animal that terrorizing things. It would herd her away from the beast fetish into something more and give you more room to mold her how you see fit. It could also be a good development episode for the CMC as well.
Show Stoppers:
This would be a great follow up to the last episode where we have the girls thinking on the events from the last one and than they have the talent show. I can see Spike showing up this time around to give them a hand. Even helping to repair the treehouse for them as he has hands and use to fixing things after Twilight's messes. But I think the biggest thing would be the girls maybe trying to find a way to do a show that is interesting and stands out. Of course many sexy times happen with them and that could be a major event for their show. But I think this could be a start for something big... Where we give the girls more development than they had in the original show. They start to look at what their individual talents and interest are and not just as a group. Which their show could put those talents all together in one act. And while it still wins best comedy because it might not go perfect it does help them start to think about who they are and just because they have their own things they like and are good at that doesn't mean they can't be in it together.
Green Isn’t Your Color:
This is a interesting one as it could really play alot on Rarity and Fluttershy as well. With maybe Fluttershy seeing on this new aspect of her element and herself and than this Modeling career, sexy modeling or even porn acting lol, booming. Rarity start to let her need to be the center of attention show. We can maybe even dig into why Rarity has to be the center of attention and how it ties into her Element as well. This could be a great episode to start to see how her element and Dash's element are different. But more than that we give Rarity some more development away from just her being a dommy mommy. I think it would be fun to see her maybe talk to not just the girls but her family about her feeling this way. Rarity has so few times we see her relay on her family and this could be a good chance of maybe her mother talking to her and helping her see more to herself beyond her jealousy and this one side of herself she lets people see. That it is okay to not be the center of attention as someone's dom or as the star of the show. And while this is going on Shy is figuring more out about her element and herself during this time as well.
Over a Barrel:
This one I honestly see as a very interesting episode to myself. Because it is one of the first ones we see of non pony creatures and how they tend to be.... well disturbed by pony's ways and them encroaching on their ways. I do like some of the things that happen in this. I think the buffalos doing their stampeding is very fun. It could be the ponies don't like it because of the damage to the crops but also it gets in the way of their fucking with the noise and shaking. I can see the Buffalos hating the ponies for them getting in their way of a tradition that predates them even living in the area. I think this could also be a big one for Spike as well, I know I am a Spike fan but still he had a part in this but I feel this could be more. When he is with them he could really bond with the younger Buffalo girl as I find her to be super cute and she likes how strong Spike is and how there is honor in him with the dragon code. I think having him really enjoy their ways as well could be fun. It would be fun to also maybe have him talk to the chief as lets be real Spike has met so few strong male figures in his life. Meeting one that has a sense of honor as well as cares for his people could mean alot even if he isn't a dragon. And they could ask him on what does he know of himself and his own culture which gets him thinking once more. But Spike also brings up that he doesn't hate pony ways and they don't have to hate them for it either. That he plays a big part in helping the Buffalo get the message of the episode in compromise and understanding as the girls work on the ponies. And it ends with a big orgy with instead of just apple pie it is a 'apple pie' Pinkie style lol. So it becomes they get the road to keep their tradition and they also rest with any pony and they have a big orgy before going on with their way on their run.
A Bird in the Hoof:
I will admit this one is a bit of a harder one to be sure. But if we go off my other idea and use it as a building block for Shy than I think it could really work. She has for a while been feeling there is more to her element than she thought and when she sees the bird she thinks this is a good time to prove this feeling a desire and need to help it. After trying all she can it still dies and she feels like she fails and that she is even a failure at her element as well. This could get very emotional for her as she hates to lose a critter but this hit deeper as she was banking on this to try to help her really feel out her place with the girls and maybe see herself as more than just the animal cock sleeve some in town see her as. But this is a great episode for her and Celestia to have a bit of a heart to heart something I don't think we ever seen. They sit and talk and even have some kinky times together and they use their fluids to revive the bird lol.
The Cutie Mark Chronicles:
This could be such a major episode as it could add in more develop for each girl and how they got their marks. It also could help it develop and show how each girl is different from their canon versions here as well. And honestly I think even sprinking some seeds of things that can come down the road could be amazing. Like in Pinkies have her remember seeing Grilled Cheese even if she doesn't know his name and just talk about a colt looking at her and seeing how happy he was seeing her made her feel happy.
I can see Twilight unlocking her power as she was being fucked by Celestia so Spike is hatched by Celestia and Twilight's magic but mostly Twilight. Which could be funny when huge adult Spike is made there is a massive dragon dick in the room and he cums flooding the throne room and halls leaving him there and everyone drenched. I can see Rarity getting hers when she was finding some kid and her doming them and as she is doing it she has a magical orgasm and shatter a rock finding the gems as she is cumming from doming someone. Dash I can see her getting hers as she is doing the boom but she is also seeing everyone as her slaves as she does it them being at her whims as they watch how cool she is and that gets her off. This one is interesting in the mental state of Pinkie. I think it could be fun if we play on that. Where we find out Pinkie can have high high and low lows. That she does have a bit of mental unstablity that she is maybe even seeing someone about. That this is less played for laugh and more of the girls finding out more about her friend and that she is more than just a ball of energy. That even someone as bright as Pinkie can be depressed as well. I think we shouldn't make it where the girls tell her to get help that she already has someone she is seeing and is helping her and the Cakes also are there for her as well. It could have been their idea when she first came to town and saw her having a depression episode. Also we can make the Spike moment be her using sex to question him either teasing him with it or doing it till he break. Or we can play it more for laughs but I just like the digging deeper into the characters as more than one note things but show that everyone is more complex than just them being silly or just sex and their elements. But I am not saying she is crazy or dangerous she just gets depression sometime, a thing she use to get from back when she was a kid on the rock farm.
The Best Night Ever:
This is a big one as this is the one that this whole season has felt like it has been building up to. I think we can have alot of the main events happen this time around but with some fun kinky twist to it. I see Dash and Gilda having a real intimate and caring moment this time around tho Dash would be sidetrack by her goals and stop once she notices that she was hurting Gilda as she was really looking forward to this night with her. AJ I see her not being willing to sell out her farm once some rich guys take interest in it or want to use her as the figure head for a campaign they would do with one of the heroes of the country. Rarity would have the whole Blueblood thing. But she would for sure stand up for herself and not let him walk all over her but that desire in this one to dom a prince could peek through. But when she sees he is a asshole she decides she doesn't want him that she doesn't want a toxic asshole in her life. I don't remember what Pinkie or Shy's goals were lol. I think Spike could have his own as I like him having a moment with Molestia or something. Or maybe people treating him more as a sideshow than someone who grew up there and is super close with the heroes and the rulers of the country playing with him feeling conflicted about his place there. I like them all leaving to the donut shop at the end, maybe them having a orgy there or something. But we get a real moment with Spike and Twilight as they step out and talk. With them being the closest of everyone honestly and them being back in their home town. It is has been a while since we have had one of those major moments between those two and I think ending this season with them having one would be the best. There are so many complex and VERY deep feelings between them I can see them having such a wonderful time sitting there talking looking at the stars and the city skyline as the sound of a orgy going on in the shop behind them. They could even fool around themselves out there and embrace before going back in and joining everyone else seeing all kinds of wildness going on in that shop with so many of their friends and loved ones.

The idea is like i said. She's a raging size queen who likes it rough. She goes to the Dismond Dogs becase ponies like Big Mac are too gentle, despite the size thing on lock. The Diamond Dogs are the perfect middle ground: bigger than most stallions and yet easily capable of the rough treatment she desires.
In short, she already knows what she likes and where to get it. It's no secret. Twilight never knew becase she never asked.
The size thing could also be a source of conflict for Spike and lead into secret of my excess. Experimening with greed growth that gets out of hand. By the time he's big enough, he's to feral to properly enjoy it.

I think it would be interesting if they kick the shit out of Spike like they did in the canon or at least hinted that he got beat up. And than when he is so willing to go and save Rarity to not only make up for his failings but to get back some of his honor and masculinity that they called into question when they were kicking his ass he sees Rarity has them all handled and they were able to give her some pleasure that he couldn't. This would be a major kick in the teeth for him. Setting the seeds for the event as well. I am just a fan of deep dives into the characters and what they are feeling and thinking about what has happen to them. We can make the whole Spike growth even more of a dangerous thing than just the whole Godzilla rip off lol. Show how dangerous it is to grow into a full sized Dragon, and from what we seen he can even get bigger compared to a normal adult dragon when compared in size. There is also his magic fire as well that makes him different and hard to deal with. But I think also the fact he reverted from a greed growth can be a huge thing as we never heard anything of Smolder, Ember, or any other dragon doing that. We also have the mental fallout of him attacking the town, half destroying it and his own turmoil of the event as well

Stare Master: Yeah, I can see that mixing well with some other ideas I had planned. Definitely need to write that down.
Show Stoppers: Spike getting involved is a nice touch, which I'd have probably done anyway, as the four work off each other nicely. Though I can see the direction you're pushing, and I like it. Spike being there could point out what was obvious to the audience so the performance is much better.
Green Isn't Your Color: Oooh, screen time for characters who were barely a blip in the canon. Me likey. It's funny that I had literally written a chapter exploring new possibilities for the Elements after writing this blog, so this all fits nicely.
Over a Barrel: This is pretty much exactly what I asked for, taking the episode in a wholly different direction that still arrives at the same destination.
A Bird in the Hoof: As you say, this is a tricky one, but having the episode be a kind of outlet for Fluttershy's midlife crisis definitely has potential.
The Cutie Mark Chronicles: Including Grilled Cheese could certainly be fun. Though, I'm reminded of an old comic where they mentioned how the one sister who wasn't Maud was a ghost, which I might want to work in as a random reference. Those other ideas also have potential, especially Trixie, potentially giving her a connection to the rainboom as well.
Party of One: I like to think that giving the characters more common sense than their canon counterparts is a staple of this story, so ensuring that Pinkie is already getting help is perfect. So many problems could be solved if the characters just talked more, which a healthy support system like the Cakes would encourage. I can see the Cakes being prompted to act when Pinkie starts cuddling Mrs. Cake and openly states her plans to kidnap the foals to groom them into her best friends who'll never leave her. They know she's half-serious, so put their hooves down and demand an explanation from the others.
The Best Night Ever: I liked all of those ideas, especially Spike not quite fitting in.
