Chapters 6 and 7 of Unchanging Truths

Quick turnaround on these two, huh? I knew I was going to be hammering these out back to back, so I wanted to leave the blog plugging Kingsredarmy's Harmonic Cognition for a bit longer.

King worked hard and I worked him over to get that hard work out.

Back in Rego's world, while the editor was on vacation, I put Electro Swing on the backburner and wrote six and seven one right after the other. Now that AP's back, I'm in the midst of writing Chapter 34, which thank goodness is turning out to be a far less emotional affair for the Electro Swing readers. As for Unchanging Truths, well, I think chapter 8 is going to be a big one.

School starts next Monday, but I want to see if I can get Electro Swing chapter 34 at least out of its initial drafts. The hard part is that I know what I want to happen, but I don't know exactly how it will play out. I can say, folks have probably wanted to see this occur for a while now, and it finally makes sense. I just need to figure out what it is building to in the short-term. I know the long-term. Hope that's vague enough to build some anticipation without spoilers.

It was a nice, and largely uneventful summer vacation. Pandemic is still a thing, and I didn't want to mask up while outside in blistering heat by myself. That just sounds like a terrible combination of things. Maybe next year I'll get outta my apartment and finally see some of the country I now live in. At least I got to get a game I'd been putting off played through and cranking out chapters at a healthy clip. Time to go back to the slower drip of words mixed with workdays.

Nothing else here for the week. Done with writing for the evening, so I think I'll curl up in bed early and wait to see what readers think of it. Probably nothing until after I go to sleep since I find most folks read my stuff in the afternoon stateside.
